Well on debt busting front have made a bit of a breakthrough. This may seem a bit daft, but everyone wanted to have a takeaway tonight, so i said right i will put £5 to it...Ds said oh and i will too and and then they all did. That way it is a treat, but we aren't skint in the process....makes a change.
Have been having a think and reckon will start a new diary with a new focus, now dosh is there to overpay a lot..well for the next few weeks anyway, and i will have to put enough aside to last me the summer, but it is a work in progress.
Hope you all have a good weekend.xBlackadder: Am I jumping the gun, Baldrick, or are the words 'I have a cunning plan' marching with ill-deserved confidence in the direction of this conversation?

That sounds fair Bob, might make them think twice too. DS won a fortune (50p) in 2p pieces today and I told him I would take the money and give him silver for it so he could buy some sweets but he protested that he was going to win even more - needless to say he lost the lot and got no sweets! I think he's learned something about gambling... (I know I sound really mean but it was a lesson to him!)Mortgage OP 2025 £6000/7000Mortgage OP 2024 £7700/7000

You're not being mean. The people who do themselves the most damage (to theirselves and others), are the ones that think there will be no consequences."Follow the money!" - Deepthroat (AKA William Mark Felt Sr - Associate Director of the FBI)

Not mean at all - that's a valuable object lesson learnt for life, that!
Bob - good planning with the takeaway - our rule has always been that takeaways come from personal money not household budget too.🎉 MORTGAGE FREE (First time!) 30/09/2016 🎉 And now we go again…New mortgage taken 01/09/23 🏡
