Mine has gone kaput! The drawer wouldn't open and it kept making crazy noises before giving up the ghost! Taking it back to Tescos for a refund and will buy an Ellion instead.Happiness is wanting what you have, not having what you want.

Bought Tesco brand -R/RW disks, didn't realise till I got machine home that it was +R/RW recording so will have to buy some more. What brand of disks is everyone using? Are Tesco's own make of disks any good?ac's lovechild0

planetf1 wrote:An alternative (I can start a new thread if relevant)... I picked up the proline DVDR700 from comet last night for 79.99.
- it has RGB input (need to verify)
Sigh.. RGB input doesn't work - only RGB passthru.. it's going back - although I have fired off a note to comet & liteon (to check 1101/5) also. What goes around - comes around

My one has stopped working too. Machine freezes while starting up. "Hello" flashes on the display and unable to use it. Phoned the branch I bought it at, staff not very helpful. No stock left in shop and will have to get money back or exchange for Bush at £179.97!!!! (paying the difference, of course)
Pity since I liked it and the USB at the front was handy too.......
Any suggestions for replacement?I say what I like, I like what I say!0 -
Darter- i have gone for the Ellion 535s on ebay and awaiting delivery......Happiness is wanting what you have, not having what you want.

Bought the Technika and it's working okay. Thinking of buying a DVD player to watch recordings in another room.
More of a general question... is it possible to play DVD+RW's made on this recorder on a DVD player from a different manufacturer?0 -

That should be fine. As long as you 'Finalise' it (which is done by pressing a button on the remote)0
