  • Hi Guys

Bought Technika DVDr3005 and tried to connect to my existing system.
It is connected in following way
The VCR SCART Out of Sky box is given To Sony VCR Scart input.
Sony VCR SCART OUT is given to input to Technika DVD recorder's input Scart
Scart Out of Technika DVDrecorder is given to TV

What I am experiencing is the quality of the picture is shaking, If I remove the DVD Recorder and Directly connect VCR output to TV in above setup the quality is quite good.

Does anyone experiencing same problem? is there any solution for it? or I m doing something wrong?

    thanks

  • Hi, thanks to the original poster for this tip, have gone out and bought one. I didnt realise this played divx straight away - I thought the firmware upgrade allowed me to play divx!

Does anyone know what the firmware upgrade does?

I have another issue.... I get these black diagonal lines in the background - like when you have a 'too strong' analogue signal. Does anyone know why I get these lines, and how I can remove them?

    Thanks,

    Nick.

So what's the definitive answer to "Does it record from RGB in or is just RGB passthrough ?"

    Cheers,

I am still struggling to copy one dvd to another.

Have tried connecting the dvd player to dvd recorder but could not get it to record, I am obviously going wrong somewhere. Can anyone explain 'dummy style' as I am new to this, what gets connected where and how I copy.

I have sky and tv connected to dvd recorder

    video connected to sky

an av sender connected to sky (using a double scart connection)

    TV has 2 scart sockets

dvd recorder has 2 scart sockets

dvd player has only one scart socket

    hope this is enough information.

To record from the DVD player, this is the most basic method:

Connect scart from DVD player to DVD Recorders 'Input' scart.

Connect DVD recorders 'Output' scart to TV.

Press 'Source' on the dvd recorders remote control a number of times until 'Scart' becomes the source.

Play you dvd in the player, and press record on the dvd recorder to record.

    Hope that helps.
