Yes, I agree with you. Getting rid of clutter always makes me feel better about myself. It is ridiculous having 1/2 my wardrobe cluttered with stuff I have no intention of wearing!
Need to wrap some presents tonight as well. Am giving my MIL 2 books for Xmas (as well as some other stuff) but I am reading one before I wrap. Hope that doesn't sound too bad!Total (Aug 19):€58,567 Now:€26,947

Thanks clearmydebts! xxx
Doesn't sound bad at all about reading the books before wrapping - have to admit if I buy CDs I always make a copy first - just to make sure the CD isn't scratched etc. of course
Keep going with the debt-busting!

I think both reading the book before giving as a present and copy the CD is very MSE and should be applauded. Well done and good idea's.Total Debt now £22,525.07 Start Debt £32,732.36

Thanks to the 2 of you for not making me feel too bad. To be honest, I don't think MIL would mind too much anyway. I certainly wouldn't. I always make a copy of the CD too!Total (Aug 19):€58,567 Now:€26,947

Hi CMD - fantastic idea about reading the book first! Good luck with the ebaying, I find ebay the hardest thing to motivate myself to do.
I'm going to Ireland just after Christmas, on the 28th I think and staying until the 4th, my family is much more happy family Christmas than his.Debt January 1st 2018 £96,999.81Met NIM 23/06/2008

Hi Dinah,
You will have a great time in Ireland over the New Year. Will you go out in Limerick for the night?
Well I applied for an extra £500 overdraft to my account, and it got accepted. I am £100 away from my limit & payday is Friday but I have tenants who pay erratically (for my flat in Scotland, I rent down South) so there is always a period in the month (a few days) when I have to pay for my rent and mortgage and I have about £100 in my account. This is like a buffer so I won't be under so much stress to pay it off. Hope I don't go near to the limit over Xmas though.Total (Aug 19):€58,567 Now:€26,947

Thanks Dinah!
I'm sure your OH has something lovely planned for NYE.
Was online looking at holidays last night. The temptation to book something was unreal but then I thought how much better I would feel if I was booking something when I actually had the money, instead of it being on my credit card.Total (Aug 19):€58,567 Now:€26,947

Afternoon CMD. I haven't dared look at holidays online as I am a nightmare for booking around this time for next summer.
Realistically I can't see us going anywhere abroad next year so think I need to stay clear of those sites.Proud to be dealing with my debts - DFW No: 712

Hiya Doodledoo,
I know I shouldn't look. I just depress myself! I always have myself convinced that I can justify the expense and then I face the reality.
How are you today anyway? Has the appetite come back yet?Total (Aug 19):€58,567 Now:€26,947
