I am starting to feel half decent for the first time in 2 weeks. Am hoping to make as much as I can from AQA this month so I can make some inroads into saving for the baby. My friend who took over the last flat from us said that she is probably going to give us the deposit back early (as opposed to the end of Feb) so that is £900 waiting to go into the baby savings account.

Just have one more credit card to pay off but am due back money after the Eurostar disaster and also due money from my parents towards our pram so that should more or less pay it off and then just have the loan to concentrate on. Still no sign of a 0% balance transfer deal from Virgin but it is only the 4th Jan so hopefully will hear something in Jan about that.

Hi CMD and Happy New Year!

I'm sure you'll get to your target this year, but regardless, good luck!
We have quite similar DFDs. Though mine is very hopeful for November 2011, and as I really want to be DF before my birthday, realistically it means I need to be DF in October 2011. It'll be hard work, but if it works out, I'll be so pleased!

    Happy New Year Tirlittan!

One of my resolutions is to post on this diary more, as it will motivate me I think! Yes, I am determined to reach my target this year and I will try to smash it, but it all depends on how we get on financially while I am on Statutory Maternity Pay.

    How was your Christmas?

Xmas was nice thanks. Just me and bf at his. On Boxing Day went to his parents. Been having a cold since before Xmas though, still not gone and it's really frustrating not being able to shake it off.
On New Years Eve we stayed in as well as I wasn't feeling 100%. :(

    How was yours?

Sounds like a nice Christmas :)

Mine wasn't great. First we were stranded in Brussels and then I got a really bad cold, which I am just beginning to shake now. I had a lovely time at my parents house but when I went to OH's I was stuck inside for 6 days. They live in the middle of nowhere and never offer to drive anywhere or bring us anywhere. I had serious cabin fever and OH has promised me that he is starting his driving lessons next week and he will be driving by next Xmas so we can come and go as we please. It is horrible being stuck somewhere with no way out. 1-2 days is grand but not 6!!!

Gosh, that would've drove me up the wall.
We were only two days at bf's parents and they don't much go out so had to drag bf for a walk each evening. Actually, he's not that bad, but would've probably happily sat in if I'd let him. ;)

It was terrible. They don't live near anything (within walking distance) and it was too slippy to go for a walk, especially at 33 weeks pregnant. A few of our friends did drop in and that relieved some of the time but mostly we just sat there. They don't have the net so I couldn't even come on here. Never again am I staying so long. At least if thet had the net I could have been on AQA earning a bit of money.

Yes, even worse if you can't do anything and at your delicate state you're right, you don't want to be walking on icy roads. But it's hard to stay in for almost a week without change of scenary.

Very hard -usually I would go for a few drinks at night or would go for a walk but there was nothing I could do this year. At least OH recognised it and said things would change.

What did your OH get you for Xmas?

He got me just little thing and too many of them as well considering he just bought me the laptop for birthday.

Before my birthday, I said we should put a limit on Xmas pressies as to me they're not as important.Don't get me wrong, it's nice to give and receive something, but no need to break the bank. Limit was £20, which he exceeded.

I got, Per Una leather gloves, Moleskine diary,an exercise band and chocolate's, all that was basically on my list. I bought him a book he wanted, a cd I knew he'd like that I got with my points from pigsback and chocolates.
