Before my birthday, I said we should put a limit on Xmas pressies as to me they're not as important.Don't get me wrong, it's nice to give and receive something, but no need to break the bank. Limit was £20, which he exceeded.

I got, Per Una leather gloves, Moleskine diary,an exercise band and chocolate's, all that was basically on my list. I bought him a book he wanted, a cd I knew he'd like that I got with my points from pigsback and chocolates.

I forgot about the laptop. That was a very generous gift

Sounds like you got all you wanted. Myself and OH got each other practical gifts this year. I didn't want us getting into anymore debt this year just for Xmas!

It was indeed. He's so thoughtful. I'll need to find a way to make him talk though,otherwise I just can't do it anymore. I think this year there'll be a lot of changes...

Yes, got all I wanted for Christmas. I think practical gifts are the best. What did you give each other?

I know it's a shame he won't open up more to you. Maybe he will this year.

I got OH a laptop bag, dressing gown and the usual bits and pieces. He got me rocket dog boots, soap and glory stuff, magazine subscription & other bits and pieces. It's my birthday this Sunday so he has another expense coming up!

just thought i would say hello to another diary owner. Well done on clearing alot of your debt, i am only in the early stages of clearing mine, but i am making some progress, it does stress me out though.

Thanks for posting on here. It is a tough old road, no doubt, but think how happy we all will be when we are debt free. I am itching to have 0 in my account but I know there is a hard slog towards getting in. It will be worth it though

Nothing of value is achieved easily. At least that's what 'they'd' like us to believe, but there might be a nugget of wisdom there.

I like it!

It seems my whole life is based on that statement. Not that I am complaining though, cos I have an eventful life and I could chosen an easier road. Would be very bored by now though!

Indeed, most of the time it's about the travelling and not the destination, and who keeps us company on the way. We often forget this though.

I'm good. Sun is shining.
Quite excited about the prospect of moving as well though bit apprehensive too. Just the change, it'll be good though.
