Quite excited about the prospect of moving as well though bit apprehensive too. Just the change, it'll be good though.

I reckon it will be a great change. Is the rent more or less the same as what you are paying?

Depends which I go for. Will be more expensive, about £50 more, but I do want to cut 3 people out, have a bigger room and generally nicer place so it's not too bad. It will be tighter, but I'm sure I'll be happier, and who knows, next step might be getting that better paid job!

  • Hi all!

Had a lovely birthday weekend and OH bought me a purple Sony Vaio laptop so was well chuffed with that :)

I ordered a Sainsbury's shop last night and managed to get lots of nappies, wipes etc with 33% off. And they are the eco ones too! Think I am stocked up now for the first 2 weeks when baby arrives so at least I won't have to get OH to be running up and down to the shops when he could be spending time with me and the baby. I also got extra mince so we can make spag bol and cottage pie and freeze it for when the baby comes along. I am going to treat myself to ordering from Cook (frozen yummy dinners) next week so that I have a stock of nutritional good dinners in the freezer as well. I want to be as well prepared as I can so I showed OH how to make my brown bread too last night and he did a great job. He can make that at the beginning as well!

Moneywise - my mother is putting money into the bank towards the pram (which we have paid for). I will be using that to overpay on the loan (first time ever) so am quite excited about that :) As soon as I get a 0% balance transfer offer through from Virgin I will be paying a sizeable chunk of the loan off too. Can't wait for that :)

Feb 19th! I don't feel very organised cos I haven't been able to get out but I suppose I have been trying to get the flat organised and decluttered.

Most important for me is to try and have the least amount of debt by this time next year so that we can focus on saving and having a good life with the baby instead of paying debts all the time.

I suppose we would have been debt-free by now if OH didn't go back to study music, but you have to take a chance and he loved the 2 years he was there :)

Yeah, not everything can be measured in money. I'm glad he was able to follow his dream. And you will be debt free soon enough (obviously not soon enough though).

Ooh, that's close then, just over a month to go. Excited?

Yeah, he is much happier in himself since he did the course as it was something just for him.

Yeah, I am getting excited but just want to get out this weekend and get the rest of the stuff for the baby. I am looking forward to finishing work as well, it will be nice to be able to chill out for a few weeks and watch daytime TV before the baby comes along :)
