    Hmmm, I just calculated how much I'd have to pay a day if I'd want to be debt free on my birthday in 2011 (thats 799 days away from today). It says £13.52 a day, which in an avarage 30day month would be £405. I'm starting to pay £400 off from Sept, but snowball reckons I'll have to pay extra £56 a month to get to that date, so I guess the difference is in the interest accrued? Useful though.

    Hi Starnac and Tirlittan,

    Welcome to my diary. I am verey bad at updating it I'm afraid. Yeah the figure is scary but it makes things more realistic, although unless OH gets a job it isn't realistic for me to hit that daily target!

    Hi Hobsch!

    How are you? I am not too bad at all. Still waiting on OH's first pay cheque to come through but we are moving and I have been selling stuff so we are really hoping to make a dent in the debt.

    I am due our first baby in February so once the last credit card is paid off I think I will slow down on paying off the loan and we will start to save a lump sum so there is money in the bank when I am on maternity leave. I am feeling very positive about the move and life in general at the moment though!

  • Had a very productive day yesterday icon_smile.gif

    * Xmas present for godson
    * Xmas present for OH's nephew
    * Birthday present for OH's nephew
    * Birthday present for my SIL
    * Food processor/blender for baby when we are waening him/her. It got great reviews and OH will be in charge of the food cooking!!!

    I saved £30 and also got £36 equivalent back in points! I have about £50 in points now and am going to keep saving them and then use them for baby stuff in Jan!

    Then I went into town, met OH and we bought:

    * Birthday present for a friends baby (I always buy for their 1st bithday)
    * Baby present for a friend who just had a baby

    And for the holiday:

    * Maternity clothes for me for holidays
    * Tee-shirt and new trainers for OH for holidays (need to buy at least 2 more tee-shirts)

    I also ordered linen trousers and 2 tops from Asos (in the sale) and used the next day free delivery. Overall I am feeling very organised (for Xmas and holidays) and OH treated me to Las Iguanas afterwards as he is so impressed with all that I organised yesterday!
