Yes - keep on top of it - you have done brilliantly so far. Am glad you have posted again in your thread.
Keep going.
Thanks Hobsch,
Hope you are well!
Have come to a bit of a standstill with the money until I pay off my tickets to Oz but I am hoping they will be paid off this month and then I can start to really pay off my debts. For some reason, when I see it go down to 14K I think I will get really motivated. It seems to be stuck at 16K for ages. August is shaping up to be a quieter month than July so hopefully I can cut back here and there!Total (Aug 19):€58,567 Now:€26,947

I'm sure you will soon get it down. I have been stuck on various numbers and it seems to take ages to clear. I think when I get below the £20K mark it will really motivate me.

Yeah, below the 20k mark was a great achievement for me and it will really motivate you when you get to it.
Payday for me today. Have ammended my sig but it doesn't look that great cos still have Oz tickets to pay off. That will be cleared when the tenants give me the rent and then I can concentrate on getting rid of the Virgin credit card as it will only be 1k. Have 2 more credit cards to clear after that. One is OH's and it isn't included in my overall debt figure but it still needs to be gotten rid of.
Can't wait until all my credit cards are at £0. It will be great to use them the way they are meant to be used, by paying off the balance at the end of the month!Total (Aug 19):€58,567 Now:€26,947

Thanks Claire,
I really need to get my act together as I haven't really gotten rid of anything for a while. I have a baby on the way too (February 2010) so I would really like to get rid of my credit cards before then but there is about 7k on themTotal (Aug 19):€58,567 Now:€26,947

If you really go hell for leather at it, it can be done. Work out how much you are paying off at the moment as a per day figure, then work out what you would need to pay off per day to meet this target. Depending on how big this gap is, you can come up with a plan to tackle it.Debt January 1st 2018 £96,999.81Met NIM 23/06/2008
Debt September 20th 2022 £2991.68- 96.92% paid off0 -

Hi Dinah,
How are you? In my head I am motivated but unfortunately this morning sickness is so bad I am having to go to bed quite early and when I am awake my head feels very fuzzy. Hopefully it will be gone by next week (14 weeks) and I can start to do a bit more!Total (Aug 19):€58,567 Now:€26,947

Hi all,
I am logging on here in an attempt to keep focussed with this diary!
I don't have much to report except to say that I am still plugging away with AQA. The morning sickness has started to ease a bit so I can feel the fog lifting a bit.
Hopefully OH's back tax will come through this month and I can pay off some of my Virgin Credit card.
Now that I am thinking clearly I think I will use your suggestion Dinah to see how much per day I need to pay off to get rid of the credit cards by Feb 19th. It would be great to have them gone!Total (Aug 19):€58,567 Now:€26,947

Just worked out the figure per day if I am to have the money paid off my by due date in Feb.
It is 40.50 per day or 1209.89 in an average 30 day month:eek:
Yikes, that is quite an amount. I hope OH gets a job soon. In the meantime I am determined to make as much money on AQA as I can.Total (Aug 19):€58,567 Now:€26,947

hi CMD, just found your diary.
wow £40.50 a day. that seems a lot although i suppose it sounds better than the whole figure you need to clear. i might use the same idea to motivate myself.
