    Morning all,
bit late on here as I have been trying to think of what OS I can report.... here goes ( have posted some of these on another post but yah might have missed it)

Have boiled up veg peelings and a couple of peas to give it body.
Skined some road kill to make gloves.
Hung T bags on the line to dry and re-use.
Emptied Vacum and used contents and a lump of lavender polish to make lavender bags.
Platted recycled newspaper for making a lampshade.
Put some water in small containers and froze, save buying those cubes.
I normally scrape the side of the freezer and use to cool drinks.

Right now plans for today, More ironing, stuff some chicken breasts for dinner and continue to clear the study for decorating. SMOKY, how is your mamoth decor task going?

MIOLIERE, sorry your post is not good enough, bring back Mioliering :rotfl:

Hope all is well and fully recovered from y/day's trauma.

Welcome newbies and lurkers, good to have yah on board. :T

    Off to catch up x

Morning Chums, well I'm back from the op. and all seems to be going o.k. this won't be a long email as my arm is still stiff from the stitches. They let me out on Sunday afternoon eventually I had been hoping for Friday but my BP apparently was very low, and I needed to be on a drip for awhile. I ended up with five different sites on my arm where they tried to get the cannula in without much success.I feel like a ruddy pin-cusion.The chemo seems to have mucked all my veins up, and it was a bit of a struggle but they got there in the end.So its onwards and upwards from now on and my scar looks very dashing (rather as though I have been swiped with a sword) and I can at last see what I will eventually look like. Once the stitches are healed I can get a nice prosthesis and some fancy new bras:j so I won't be quite so lop-sided:rotfl: My tutor is sending me the notes from last nights lectures as I can't drive just yet for a little while and I don't want to fall behind.Well time to go but I will be back when my arm is a bit more mobile <<hugs to those in need>> and a big:D to the rest of you
    love JackieO xx

    I hope everyone's well today.

I am intruiged by all the talk of quinces, as I have never seen or tasted one. I would like to though, do you have to grow your own or can you buy them?

The lavender ice cream sounds good too - now that I do grow!

Breakfast is porridge today - yum! Tea will be RTC sausages but inspiration hasn't yet struck on how they will be served.

Oh well, work again - hi ho

oh i made a lovely casserole last night with a couple of tins of tomatos, some herbs, onions, and tomoto puree.... it was really lovely, and i'd never done that before, so was really excited!!!!

get a bit of mash on the side and jobs a gooden'...

    Morning everyone!

I haven't caught up with yesterdays debate fully yet, I kept reading bits while rushing back n forth doing stuff! - It did remind me of Miller & Armstrong with the two ladies in the cafe - "It's kicking off Pru!":rotfl:

At last i've got a morning to myself (I hope) so i've got bread soaking for a bread pudding, then I'm going to make a cake, prob coffee and walnut, not sure yet. Make a cottage pie, and do something with a marrow that's been sitting around for weeks now!:o and also use up some shallots.

Then it's back to Clarks later with DD, as the trainers she got on sat are slipping off her feet:rolleyes: They did suggest an insole but I'm not convinced and I dont want to spend £26 for shoes she will moan about! - it's so difficult cos she is an "E" fitting - yet they never do trainers in a E fitting:confused: so why have the measuring guide? cos you can only ever buy F & G widths??

llamahead - We had fishfingers last nite, nothing wrong with that! - they are yummy! also Supernoodles - I know they are junk food, but there's something about them thats soo tasty!!

Have a good day all xx

    morning all!

thriftlady - that choccy porridge sounds yummy:drool: I'm going to get my leftover soup out of the freezer to take to work so thanks for the reminder!:T

JackieO - I hope you make a swift recovery from your op xxx

Off to work later so not much oldstyling here today as I'm on an 11 till 10pm shift.
Now for some not strictly OS stuff - so dont read on if you are only interested in the OS stuff.

My friend who I mentioned at the weekend is now in hospital for tests, I am glad as she has been so poorly and seen 3 different doctors who all had different opinions but none were much help:rolleyes: now the talk is of possible peritonitis(sp?) I'm hoping to hear some news later .

Off to the docs now for my depro jab and to get a mole on my back checked out. DH is worried that it has got bigger and changed colour.
Hope you all have a great day!

edited to say the nurse thinks the mole is benign but has measured it so we can check it again next time I go to see if its grown.
    Do what you love :happyhear

Hi - I haven't welcomed any newbies yet so welcome to Rummer, Suzybloo, Dragonfairy and Cornishpixie and I'm sorry if I've forgotten anyone else. Great to see some 'old' OSers on here, too! I would have welcomed you all yesterday but I was in some sort of denial that the thread's continuation seems to be threatened. I wonder if we'll get some sort of decision today?

Beth - you really made me laugh! I think I'm going to start making DH get up later and go to bed earlier so that we can cut out breakfast and evening dinner - how MSE would that be and think of all the work I'll be able to cut out! I'm fed up chopping veggies anyway which is why we're having a fry-up tonight.

Sunnyday - thanks for your kind words! I love reading all your posts, too.

RedRuby - please don't doubt whether you should be writing - the thread would not be the same without you. I think it was Scuzz who said this thread is 'home' and that's exactly how I feel. If anyone leaves it just won't feel the same.

Troo - the fact that you had toothache in the night and it's gone now may be something to do with your sinuses. If you've had a cold and a stuffy nose it can block your sinuses and that can play havoc with your teeth. If it's in more than one tooth, it's almost certainly your sinuses. Sorry if this does not constitute OS but it may be money-saving if it saves Troo from a dental bill!

Well, I feel as if I've stayed too long but I can say that my BM and WM are both on, the bathroom has been cleaned, the breakfast things have been cleared away, I have sorted out my paperwork for filing and written out a small shopping list. I'll fit the shopping in when I go to the bank (if it's still there - I'm with HBOS!) and the Post Office a bit later on, which will save petrol. This afternoon I hope to get some knitting done and that's also moneysaving.

See you all later and (((hugs))) to everyone.

Mioliere, yes I think that must be it - the toothache seems to move around :D I haven't got a cold, but I've been a bit sniffly (is that a word? lol) for a couple of weeks. It's like the beginning of a cold but it's stuck in the first stage  :D

Troo - maybe try some Olbas Oil in a basin of hot water and hold your head over it covered with a towel - I know there's a name for that remedy (steam bath?) but, for the life of me, I can't think of it right now! Olbas Oil on a hanky gently sniffed before bedtime should help, too. If you've been sniffly (and I use that word, too!) then I'm sure it's your sinuses. Doesn't make the pain any less but helps if you know what it is.

I told myself I wouldn't come back on here for a few hours but I'm dusting the desk so I couldn't help it!

(((Hugs))) to Jackie0 and to Taplady's friend.
