I am just amazed at how little Sky Employees know about their product that they are flogging to the poor unsuspecting public.

wow..... there are 2 people who are saying that you do need to pay £20, and about 5 people saying that you don't need to pay £20...

well.. just to back people up, who are right... you don't need to pay £20 when a subscription ends on a card. you still get loads of channels that are free, and this is the same selection even if you pay £20 for a different card.

Also, if you pay £20, you cannot make this into a subscription based card (afaik), but an ex subscription card can be made back into a subscription based card!

(i think maybe not using trademarked names will help on this, as there is soo much confusion!)

maybe i should write a guide, as to what box / card combination gives you what channels.

We spent four weeks unsuccessfully trying to get Sky to connect BB. Totally useless. Great at TV, rubbish for the rest.
