Hi toochoosey and LilySue, it's nice to meet some fellow newbies! :hello:

Re Peggies, Natty 68, I'm really sorry I have wooden pegs, BUT I have so many matchpots left from our recently painted hallway that I reckon I could paint my pegs enough colours to match every outfit I own! :D

Afternoon ladies:D Welcome to the newbies - lilysue and Jue.

Had a nice day at uni, then picked LO up from school and went to go to the shops to pick up a couple of bits and pieces. Unfortunately on the way one of my rear tyres blew:o So had to phone my dad for some advice, just got started when some nice man asked if i needed help;) I obviously looked a little out of my depth, so we got it done in half the time it would have taken me on my own.

Never did go into the shops in the end, couldnt be bothered after that:o Just went home, will have to make do without the stuff i was going to buy.

Just finished a cuppa(was freezing cold and raining) so i'm going to S&S the kitchen and feed the monkey.

Happy birthday Toots! I hope you are having a good one?

Not sure if I should post this or not but when I first found the Flylady stuff on here I was working part time and looking after a baby and a toddler in a very messy pokey dirty terrace full of clutter. I spent a lot of time and energy resenting DH and getting angry with how little he helps me. I found the flylady site rather nauseating but the ideas were sound, and one of those was to stop wasting negative energy on the things you can't change, and to use the same energy postively. I now accept that no matter how much I nag, whinge or negotiate my DH will never pull his weight on the child care or household front. He does on the other hand do an excellent job of hunter/gatherer/protector roles and is very good at plastering/building stuff that I simply can't do. I do sometimes resent him but I try not to because at the end of the day it doesn't matter enough for us to split up and what is the point of making myself miserable? It is the same with hating work - you either change your attitude to it (work is boring is a self fulfilling phrophecy!) or you change your job. I don't mean this to upset anyone or to be seen as a criticism of anyone, it is just how I cope with my situation. Oddly enough he now says he feels excluded from a lot of what I do!!! Big hugs for those suffering, believe me I do sympathise.

i know completly what you mean! and normally i am strong enough to deal with anything household / kids - it's just sometimes when i feel down or even ill ( ) there's not much support either ... mostly because he doesn't know WHAT to do really
BUT since i've started flying (again) a few weeks ago and the house is starting to look cleaner and tidier i find OH do things on his own :j
... like i went to the bedroom the other evening and found the beds made :D ...

and we had a big topple only a few months ago and ever since we are really trying hard to be 'more understanding' - and tbh things are really friendly at home lately :j - and as you added my OH is really good with repairing things ... WHEN he does it that is

thanks for your great post!!! :T

I just had a thought.. I don't have many.. would it be 'nice' to include in the first post a list of new flyers each week??

So they get some kind of recognition and an official welcome.. the OS chat debate made me think there might be some who see us as a 'clique' and I hate to think of us like that.. I want everyone to come in and share our success and know the pleasure we know..

Oh goodness.. I am turning fluffy like a mule!!

    Great idea Pigpen :A
