Little monkey is fed, kitchen is clean and dishes are done. Think will give her an early night, she isnt feeling great so a nice bath and bed is in order i think;) Will go run it while she is eating.
Need to put a wash on and tidy the LR. Then will maybe do some ironing.

  • Hi,

Hope everyone is well and welcome newbies :hello: . Happy birthday Toots :bdaycake: _party_   .

Sorry I've not posted all day but am having another busy day. Sent hubby off to hospital this morning, then slept in  , then dashed to do volunteer work, then went to the shop and had to ring various people and have only just managed to sit down. Tonight I'm going to treat myself by going to see a brass band at local church. Hubby has paid for my ticket, thank you hubby!

Managed to work on the bathroom some more last night and will try to get some more done tonight. It may sound stupid but as it's so grotty I don't like to clean it until late uin the evening because I want to wash afterwards and change my clothes. So that's why it's taking me a while. In fact I think all the rooms in my flat will take me a while because they've not been cleaned for a while  . But I'll persevere. It's rewarding seeing the place looking cleaner. And I'm enjoying it and being here on this thread :A .

By the way, can I give myself some smilies as I reached over 1,000 thank you's today, which is largely down to you lot :T  :j :A _party_ _party_ _party_

  • Afternoon all!

Am I allowed to join a Flylady thread, being a man and all?

I've *finally* finished decorating and settling in to my first apartment and it was getting to look a bit shabby. One night earlier this I found the Flylady website and thought it might give me a bit of a boost to get the place looking a bit more like when I first moved in... and now I've found a thread about it on MSE!

Off to clean the bathroom floor now - and, it being day three of "Beginners Steps" will be putting a post-it on my bathroom mirror :j

will just fly through this as last week went over board and hurt my back cleaning the top of the wardrobe, not much else in there as the spare room is also my dressing room(when i can get in there!). I am making progress in there(this room is also home to the linen closet!) so seeing as the master bedroom is so easy, then i may get this room finished(fingers crossed).
  • Help please ladies - we have a DS who may have a learning disorder (not entirely sure what but possibly dyslexia and ?) and we're at the start of the process. Meeting at school re IEP tomorrow, and first ed asst appt in early November. He is young still (yr 1) but very aware he is different though we all try to treat him as any other small boy.

Any words of wisdom? Thankfully this has been noticed quickly and the school are being very supportive. But the whole thing is a bit scary. I'm also a bit stumped over how much to say to DS - he knows a special teacher is going to help his teacher and he's OK with that, does he need to know more yet?

Although no one can go back and make a brand new start, anyone can start from now and make a brand new ending.... life is a WIP.
