Hello . . .
How is everyone?
I popped in quickly during the week and saw my name on a list - don't know what the list was for (ran out of time to check), but I's sure someone will let me know
Have had a carp week. For some reason have got absolutely nothing done.
Worked today, came home and:
folded yesterday and todays washing
Made dinner
Washed dishes
Sister called around, so spent some time talking with her
Wrapped a birthday pressie
Have just paid some bills (that were due last month  )
Transferred some money around various accounts
Updated budget.
Was rather tired at work today - had a night out on the large last night, and have been feeling a bit under the weather today **sigh** That'll teach me!
My house is a pit. It is so, SO dirty. I'm feeling quite depressed about it all. It's not got a lot of clutter, but it really is dirty. Walls, skirting boards, ceilings, carpets, windows, curtains, floors and the entire laundry room. I really don't know how I'm going to tackle it.
I guess I'll sleep on it tonight - or not sleep for worrying about it - and try and start doing something about it this week. Don't know what - but something!!!
Right - Kinky Boots is about to start and I haven't seen it yet; so off to dish up dessert and blob out for a while.
Night everyone, and thanks for listening to my pity partyIf there is to be any peace, it will come through being, not having - Henry MillerM.A.C.A.W Member . . Wannabe Flybaby0 -
Well I'm suffering from writers block with my assignment again - I blame Christmas films all day
- so instead I've done some jobs :
- Kitchen ceiling de-moulded (this involved size 10 chemical handling gloves from a DIY shop as marigold ones just seem to bubble and I end up with the cleaner all over my hands  I must have looked a sight :rotfl::rotfl:)
- Kitchen blind replaced (the one I bought for DD's room that was too short, I cut down even more and used the fittings from the old kitchen blind on it to enable me to put it up in the kitchen
:money: DD's room has her original blind up, but trimmed slightly so it wasn't such a tight fit any more and new fittings
)
- Veg rack cleaned out (black mouldy & soggy carrots found
and binned)
- Kitchen generally tidied up & decluttered
- Dehumidifer thing from the bathroom finally refilled and ready to go back up.
- Livingroom tidied up
- Launch pad drawers (mini set of drawers where we keep keys, purse, MP3 players etc for going out
) sorted out.
- Boots put in the freezer with the hopes of stretching them (this place really is a wonderful source of info! )
- Curtains put up at front & back door
- Draught excluders for front & back doors made out of laces/trim & SP fleeces :money::D then put in place.
- DD's bed remade before she could go to bed.
Seriously I am in awe of all you are managing to do, nicki.

That is why we are here.
I'll get it in first.
Baby steps.
It didn't get like that overnight and won't get sorted overnight.
If you try to do too much you will crash.
So take it slowly and you will get there.
Others will be along to offer more support.0 -

I sat down with my work, tried to answer questions and I couldn't so I looked around to find a job. Now the only problem is that apart from the mending pile and laundry there is nothing in sight when I look around the room for me to do instead of studying :rotfl::rotfl:

I'm only just about managing to keep up, I'm behind, but I seem to work better under pressure to some extent. This next week should be the most interesting though as DD is off on Half-term and I have a course I need to go on on Tuesday (which I'd forgotten about) so studying is going to prove interesting.Creeping back in for accountability after falling off the wagon in 2016.Need to get back to old style in modern ways, watching the pennies and getting stuff done!0 -
Morning all
Not much planned for today just a bit more of my list to do and maybe another 15 minutes in the garden (I like that wheelie bin bursting when they empty it on Wednesday) weather permitting.
Vanilla - great news on your hubby and your Dad, glad you had a good night, my PM box was full so sorry I didn't get your message - it should be clearer now.
MOAM well done on another NCT sale - I got my cheque on Friday so another lot of stuff out the house and a little bit more cash in.
Lil_me I hope your day is fun in someway x
DeniseNZ hugs for you, you work a huge number of hours I'm not surprised you don't have time to clean, could you kids help even if it is for cash? The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0 -
I feel the urge to draw up a list of jobs for everyone too and give everyone a jolly good talking to about helping out because my house is beyond a joke now and there is no reason this lazy lot shouldn't help!
I need time off I think I am so wound up all the time.. and I am getting more and more pee'd off with hubby and the children for not doing enough around the house and when I ask them they either disappear or just don't do it normally.. we had this discussion before I started college.. and I want things sorted before I start uni.
I know what you mean, gentle hints are just not getting the job done and shouting and moaning just gets me wound up and rushing around doing it all coz I'm angry and makes everyone else run for the hills... No middle ground in this house either...
Like you, I'm out a lot, and when I am home I'm working on stuff, but because I'm not doing a '9-5' I've obviously got loads of time to do housework, that must be why I'm there, to run around after everyone, and why is it, when OH's get in from work they can sit down because they've had a hard day, and we can't? I'm still doing stuff usually till I go to bed from when I get up, and I am soooo sick of picking up socks, cups, ect after people... I think a sit down and good talking too is well in order here too... Maybe we should have a group meeting or go on? all flyladies united!!!
