I am wrecked today, had a brilliant time at the party last night and got to spend sometime with my dad( it's been a few difficult years as he doesn't approve of my hubby and it's just been very hard cause we used to be close). He seems really pleased i'm expecting again and we spent ages talking, i even got a kiss on the cheek as he was a bit tipsy. My dad and hubby don't really get on but last nite they where buying each other drinks and actually talking so it was a big step all round.
Today i've done very little except get the walk the line soundtrack.:rotfl:
It's sometimes so hard to build bridges as I know from personal experience (mind you I could've 'helped' with the foundations :D )I could have made a 'contribution' ...well done you and OH

GnB - hope you are feeling better now, likewise Nicki's DD

Lots of lists have shortened I see - well done - but I'm afraid I'm on the long 'work' work list tomorrow, have even worked tonight.

Thanks KazW for the Lego tip, read that last night but didn't realise I needed to exchange it today  , at least can send away for them but now need to be up early tomorrow and hope I can get the Sunday paper.

Toots - good luck with the carpet tomorrow but don't overdo it

Sorry I can't remember anything else, hope you all have a good Sunday, I need to try to keep away from here until I've crossed off most of my list
Don't put it down, put it away - thanks Valli

Thank you to all who post competitions & help the smooth running of the comps board

Thanks for the well wishes for DD - she seems much better now. She was dancing around the livingroom to 80s songs before  It was about then when I decided she should try some scrambled eggs for tea - so far they've stayed down *Crosses everything while touching wood* ;)

Well I'm suffering from writers block with my assignment again - I blame Christmas films all day :p - so instead I've done some jobs :
    • Kitchen ceiling de-moulded (this involved size 10 chemical handling gloves from a DIY shop as marigold ones just seem to bubble and I end up with the cleaner all over my hands  I must have looked a sight :rotfl::rotfl:)
    • Kitchen blind replaced (the one I bought for DD's room that was too short, I cut down even more and used the fittings from the old kitchen blind on it to enable me to put it up in the kitchen :D:money: DD's room has her original blind up, but trimmed slightly so it wasn't such a tight fit any more and new fittings :D)
    • Veg rack cleaned out (black mouldy & soggy carrots found :o and binned)
    • Kitchen generally tidied up & decluttered
    • Dehumidifer thing from the bathroom finally refilled and ready to go back up.
    • Livingroom tidied up
    • Launch pad drawers (mini set of drawers where we keep keys, purse, MP3 players etc for going out ;) ) sorted out.
    • Boots put in the freezer with the hopes of stretching them (this place really is a wonderful source of info! ) :D
    • Curtains put up at front & back door
    • Draught excluders for front & back doors made out of laces/trim & SP fleeces :money::D then put in place.
    • DD's bed remade before she could go to bed.
    • DD convinced (I hope) that going completely vegetarian is not a good idea no matter how cute the ducks and pigs on River Cottage are  Especially since there is a wide selection of meat in our freezer :o:o
Now I need to sort the washing machine out, wash up and get to bed seeing as I've just realised its midnight :o

Well I guess I should really go to my nest..

Not a huge amount of my list left for tomorrow but I really would like to make at least a small amount of progress in my room.. I have a box I need shifting to the top of the wardrobe and a few bits to sort through for christmas.. DD4 is at a birthday party tomorrow.. a fancy dress party so that should be 'interesting' .. though given the place it is at I may well be staying with her!

I feel the urge to draw up a list of jobs for everyone too and give everyone a jolly good talking to about helping out because my house is beyond a joke now and there is no reason this lazy lot shouldn't help!

I need time off I think I am so wound up all the time.. and I am getting more and more pee'd off with hubby and the children for not doing enough around the house and when I ask them they either disappear or just don't do it normally.. we had this discussion before I started college.. and I want things sorted before I start uni.

And is it just me or does everyone get shirty when family ask what I want to do at uni? I just feel like it is none of their business I don't care if they are just 'interested' it is my business and I want to keep it that way.. yet I don't mind tellign anyone else.. I feel like family will judge me on everything I do (no big surprise if they did) and they will make nasty comments (for a change) and try to undermine me (again)..

    Bed it is then...
