So sorry for your sisters friend, I know a few friends who have been in fatal/near fatal accidents and my friend is a fireman so is often telling us of things that happen (cheery guy! ) but it really makes you think...
Oh, and I don't think you are belittling my accident at all, always take what you say as a good thing, not a personal dig...:D
I think the tearyness could probably be as a result of shock. I had a very near miss a few years ago when I was coming down a hill in the rain. At the bottom was a bend, but as I braked to go round it I aquaplaned. Coming in the opposite direction was a lorry  I managed to steer myself out of it just in time - missed the lorry by a matter of inches. I was shaky and teary all the way home because of the shock - I wasn't hurt at all. It took me a while before I would even drive in the rain again, and even now I'm a bit nervous about it.0 -

OMG I do not hang hankys correctly - I use one peg and hang from the corner AND I peg my socks by the leg hole...two pegs for towels - but three for a bathsheet...I am a peg failure...
***hangs head in shame***
Ditto for the hankies and socks. I don't hang towels up, they go in the TD0 -
I haven't actually got any bruises, but I feel tender in a couple of places.
Went to patchwork this morning, and got a bit carried away with the cutting, so the border has ended up a bit narrower than it should have done! Oh well.
Went shopping with DD1 afterwards as she needed to get a couple of things for the Hallowe'en disco at school. She's going as "evil Po"We got a head band thingy from Claires which has a fluffy black circle on top and it looks like Po's head.
Had to go and pick up DS from a fair where he was helping on the Cub's stall. There was a woman there selling lace, so I asked if she taught it, she said she teaches at home between 7 and 10 on a Sunday night, so I might start going. I learned a little bit about 16 years ago, but the teacher emigrated to Canada and a few months later I went to live in Swaziland, but I really want to take it up again.
I've only skim-read the past three pages but do I understand correctly - if I PM Pigpen with my address I'll actually get a card this Christmas? Normally the only cards we get in this house are for the children.0 -
