    Hi guys,

Thanks for the info. At least if we both get tested we might start to know a bit more about why it's taking so long.

Hope everyone has a good weekend!

I can't believe that a woman can have pelvic pain and weird AFs and the blasted GPs are trying to help!! You would think that would be reason enough to do a lap & dye to see if there are any problems, fertility aside. grrrrr

Welcome to those who have joined Sorry I'm not good with personals tonight, but my brain is falling asleep lol

    Hello everyone,
Just popping in to wish you all the best of luck, and hope that this helps.....

    Meditation for Fertility
    Guest Author - Ellen Winick

Trying to conceive and feeling stressed out? Try this meditation for relaxation & fertility. It will help center and relax you. If you are able to do it in the morning, that is the perfect time. Otherwise, practice it when you are able. You will need about 15 minutes. This is helpful for both dads-to-be and moms-to-be.

Find a place to sit where you feel completely at peace. This may be a spot in your home, outdoors, or somewhere else you feel comfortable and free from distractions. Sit upright either on a seat or on the floor, with legs crossed if it is comfortable. Allow yourself to soak in the beauty of this spot and to notice all that is around you. Smile as you appreciate this moment of peace and the beauty of your surroundings.

Now, focus your eyes on one spot which is appealing to you. Close your eyes slightly so that your spot looks a little foggy. And, allow your mind to release any thoughts or concerns about which you are thinking.

Take a few deep breaths in and out allowing your belly to expand and contract as you inhale and then exhale. Your breathing should be slow enough that you can count to about 7 on each inhale and then 7 on each exhale. This is an approximation, use what feels comfortable to you.

If you’d like to close your eyes, please do so. And, continue your gentle breathing. Allow your body to completely relax by noticing areas in which it is tight or tense and bringing warmth and relaxation to those areas. Sink into your sit bones and allow them to support you.

Imagine a white light filling your body from head to toe. Let this light cleanse your body completely. Stay with this until your body feels clear and free. Pay special attention to bringing the white light to your belly and to free any energy that is trapped there.

Then, allow an emerald green light to fill the area near your sexual organs. Imagine that light bringing life and fertility to you. Feel the energy in your lower body and imagine creating space for a new life to come into you. (Emerald green is the aura associated with fertility.)

While maintaining the green light in your belly, bring orange to the rest of your body. (Orange is the aura for health and energy.)

As you sit, completely relaxed, bring a feeling of complete and utter joy to yourself. Allow it to wash over you and energize your being. If you are finding it difficult to access a place of joy, notice that and accept it. As thoughts come into your head release them like a feather into the wind and return to gathering that sense of joy, happiness and peace. If a smile wants to come to your face, allow it. And, allow yourself to make whatever sounds or movements you want.

Take a few last deep breaths as you bring love and appreciation to yourself for having taken this time and given yourself the gift of this meditation.

Slowly open your eyes and begin to notice again the sights and sounds surrounding you. Bring yourself back to the present, stretch and gently rise when you are ready.

Good luck and God bless xx

    LOL!:rotfl:

We've kept trying stuff to 'tempt fate' - no success yet....but we are leaving on 29th Dec for a week's cruise up the Nile....and I am hopefully due for ET on on 12th, so if all goes well will be testing on 26th:eek: (mind you - no prizes for guessing that I'm bound to give in and test early on Xmas eve.......I have NO willpower!).

Hope that everything is still going to plan for you - I've got my first stimming scan tomorrow,so hopefully my ovaries are behaving themselves, and doing what they are supposed to !!

I've been like a bear with a sore head - PMT X 1000 .lol (poor OH) I don't know how people manage to do this time and time again !!

Hi Lilo, hope that you are feeling a bit better, have you decided what your "next move" will be yet ?

As for me,we've been trying to get organised for Xmas,so that I don't get too stressed and can relax after ET.

Going out later to buy a pair of very big,"Bridget Jones" pants to wear under the very tight fitting black dress,I brought 2 weeks ago - as I'm now starting to bloat,I can for see tears on Friday night when I'm getting ready for the work Xmas do !!!!!

Good luck to you all & lets hope that Santa brings us what we really want for Christmas.

  • 'Morning All!

2nd scan this morning, and follies are developing nicely - 2 at 18mm, 3 at 17mm, about 3 at 13/14mm she thinks, and some more smaller ones - she couldn't get a very clear picture of my left side today for some reason.

So we are 'go' for EC on Weds or Thurs - I have to call later to find out which day. We asked for Thurs if poss as it's unlikely the larger ones will 'go over' in that time, and that means that the smaller ones have more chance to develop, so we might get some 'for the freezer'.
Also, much lesser reason, DH has his works Xmas 'do' on Friday lunchtime, and saying goodbye to a colleague who is retiring, so if EC was Weds and ET Fri then he would miss it (either the 'do' or the ET). Mind you, ET on Sat will be a nuisance too as we have his kids this w/e, but can't be helped.

My Money Saving head will also be miffed if it is Weds - 'cos that means the last dose of Gonal F will be tonight, I had to get more of it today and it comes in min. 300mls pens, which is 2 doses for me...so 1 would be wasted if it was Weds....and at £80 for a pen, that is a £40 dose which will have to be chucked away (needs refrigerating and very short shelf-life after opening, so we couldn't even keep it in case there is a next time)........I know this is small fry in compared with what the rest of the treatment etc costs, but it still miffs!

Nottslass - How are you feeling? any twinges?

Lilo - Hope you are over the Bug and feeling better.

Squarebear - thanks for the meditiation! I do yoga breathing exercises to try to keep calm and lower my BP, so will try your method this week.

AnnieM - Sorry I missed you joining us - so a belated Hello!

Myaccount, Nicki, Nikki, Poppy, Triggles and Everyone Else (sorry brain run out of names!) - hope you all had good weekends and are feeling happy and positive!

    Hi all

Been a while since I last posted. The whole referral process has been a bit frustrating for us. Having had an all clear on her HSG and a negative on her last day 21 test a few months back, we were all set to go back to the consultant to get started on Clomid. When DW phoned to make an appointment at the beginning of November we were told that the Consultant had left, they had no replacement lined up and that there was now a massive backlog of people waiting to see the registrars and we wouldn't get an appointment till sometime in the new year. Both DW and I had been getting a bit fed up with the whole thing and resigned ourselves to the fact that we weren't going to get anywhere until next year and so had been trying to forget about it. DW is 3 weeks into a new job and I've been working long hours so we've had other things to keep us occupied.

Well, yesterday with DW having complained for 2 weeks of period pains but with no sign of AF, she decided to do a test just to confirm it was the usual long cycle and a negative - and it was a BFP!!! Of course we had to then go out straightaway and buy another expensive test just to make sure and it came up straightaway. We're both totally shell shocked but over the moon and it hasn't really sunk in yet. We think she must be about 6 weeks but aren't really sure, we're just going to keep our fingers and everything crossed for the next 6 weeks and months after.

I know there haven't been too many BFPs amongst the 12+ monthers, but here's hoping for a few more Christmas presents!
