It has been quiet, hasn't it. I keep logging on to check if someone has come up with a guaranteed solution, which works every time for every possible scenario! Having been trying to keep relaxed about the whole thing, suddenly this month I've reached the end of my patience I think. Doesn't help that OH is away at the moment, though there aren't any signs that I am either OVing or about too just at the moment so with luck he'll be back in time.
Only 36 hours til our appointment with the doc. Hopefully he can find a reason why nothing is happening, and suggest something to fix it.0 -
Good luck Nicki for Thursday. I hope doctor will be helpful.
I on the other had have a grin on my face this morning. I woke up with the sore nipple... How odd are we, we wake up in pain and that makes us happy??!!!! I know, it means nothing until I get BFP, and do get sore boobs occasionally, not every month, but as I said before, I have a hope. I think I am worked up so much now, that when AF (not if, when!), I will be a broken person and will need to be given sedatives!!!!! Still, that doesn't stop me hoping that this is the magical month...Spring into Spring 2015 - 0.7/12lb0 -
Hi all
Glad i've refound this thread, had wondered where it had got to!
Still very frustrating in our household, DW's AF still not showed up (cd 50 now) so our hopes of diet having regulated it seems to have gone out of the window after only 3 months and she's pretty sure she's not ovulating. It's holding up her being able to have an HSG, which they want to do before we can start Clomid the cycle after. DW phoned the consultant to see if there's something she can be prescribed to bring on AF, only to find that the consultant's now left the hospital and they don't know when they are getting a replacement ! She was led to believe the GP won't be able to prescribe anything without a letter from the consultant but DW is going to talk to the GP tomorrow and see what the situation is. Anyone know if there's anything the GP can give her?
Good luck Nicki and nottslass for tomorrow...
p.s. not come up with a guaranteed solution which works every time for every possible scenario but i think if i go ahead and book us a really nice holiday somewhere far away and exotic for sometime next year, we're bound to get a bfp just before we're due to go and have to cancel as DW can't fly. It's an expensive solution but sods law says it'll work!0 -

Not always... We were going to NZ last December, for delayed honeymoon and we were ttc for a couple of months by then. Not only I didn't get BFP, but I also didn't OV there, as we managed to get exactly the 3 weeks with OV day on the plane!Spring into Spring 2015 - 0.7/12lb0 -

Hi Meltrix - glad you found us all again! :hello:
We've tried the 'sod it let's book a holiday' appraoch a few times - needless to say it hasn't worked - yet! - but we still got the holidays out of it so I am prepared to keep on trying that method too.......LOL!
Hope your DW gets some joy from the GP. Soooo frstrating when you can 'see' the next step but you can't get there.....
Nottslass - good luck for tomorrow. If you can only get one shot at ICSI then hopefully you will respond well and be able to get some eggs/embies to freeze, in case the ICSI doesn't work (or, as I told my DH just to see his face - so we can try for the next one in a couple of years - LOL!) - a frozen cycle is much cheaper than a full ICSI.
And good luck Nicki - hope you can get some answers so you can move forward.
Jiblets1 - it might seem a bit mean, but from my experience I have found it much easier to take my DH on every stage of the Rollercoaster ride as far as poss. - That way he is much more understanding of my moods and ups&downs, and I have to apologise to him a lot less often!!!!!. He doesn't 'get it right' all the time, but a hug or a squeeze of the hand at the 'right' moment is worth so much.....
Hope everyone having a good day.
I'm on CD27 and looking forward to AF arriving ASAP please.....What a weird wish that is! It's just that as soon as she comes I can call the FC and get the next show on the road.....bring on the needles!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Hugs,

helloo everyone, I've been lurking for ages on the old thread as I stopped posting a couple of months back, I was totally frustrated with the whole ttc lark and also for the same reasons as others here, the lack of understanding from the newbies who were getting bfps starightaway. To recap my situation we have been trying for approx 3 yrs now, both 29, have had the blood tests and lap & dye (all fine) its OHs sperm which is the problem. He's midway through a course of tamoxifen which is meant to gove his hormones a kick and if it doesnt the doc is going to start us on ICSI asap. No idea how long it takes via the nhs so when he says straightaway I'm not really clear! I'm on CD28 of 28 so AF due any moment, really thought we'd done it this month but have had the usual AF twinges. Not got any pg tests and determined not to buy any either until at least 5 days late- which i know I wont be so why I even say it I dont know!
Good luck fairyelephant I've been following your journey can't wait for your updates, same for everyone else on here xxxCompulsive Spendaholic #150 -
Hmmm... holidays... we've tried that too. And weddings - I left buying my dress until as close to the event as possible on the 'off chance' that I might actually be expecting by then. Not a chance!! Still, we live in hope and online travel brochures eh ;o)
My refloxologist (is that the right word?!) has suggested a 7 day detox diet, so I'm biting the bullet starting tomorrow. I've convinced DH to join me too... result!! She also suggests bathing in epsom salts 2-3 times during the diet to purge any toxins - I'm really not sure if I believe it'll help, but hey - I'll try anything once (or 2-3 times!). Don't think DH will be up for that though!0 -
I have heard that a detox can produce a fertility boost, so fingers crossed for you nikkinoo
