Well I'm not as OH is away on business! Hopefully that won't make a difference though as we're only on CD8 today, and he'll be back by Thursday when we're off to see the fertility doc for the first time this time round.
  • Great news on the BP Fairy Elephant, and great that the clinic contacted you - they can seem a little off hand at times, cant they - its lovely when they take the initiative. I will have my thoughts with you when you start again - this will be your time!!!!!!!!! Dont worry about the walking holiday - having something else to focus on and look forward to will help. Make the adjustments you need when you need to - I find that so many things are shadowed with 'what if I get pregnant we will have to .....' and that is for 5 years!! I am really trying to live life in the here and now - not easy - and stay calm and unstressed - bl**dy difficult!!!!!!!!!!

How is everyone this today? We are pretty quiet, aren't we?

I am feeling like my AF might show up early this month. It was my first month trying agnus castus and I oved earlier that before, on day 14. So, I guess, I have to get ready for the 'show'! I have been having a few aches and pains over the last few days and my boobs occasionally give another niggle. (But that is what I expect from them, they are huge and I am always annoyed with them). Got lower back pain today, so, I think unwanted one is on its way....

    Thanks Lilo!
I soooo know what you mean! We have put off or not done so many things the last few years 'just in case'...it is so frustrating.
I veer from wanting to focus all my thoughts & energies on TTC to trying to ignore it completely - I just can't find a happy medium. Guess I am just an 'all or nothing' type of person.
Going to sit down with DH tonight and make a decision on the holiday - if it is not fully booked by now that is....

On the money side, I had a nice chat with a lovely man from my bank yesterday - a new 'personal account manager' - it came about becuase they have mis-charged me some fees, which he is going to sort out for me. We had a quick chat about the mortgage (which is not with them) and financial planning, and I explained why I have some 'savings' not getting the best rate, as I don't want to tie them up because I need them for the next round of IVF. He was really understanding and said if we need to actually borrow any money for treatment, basically the bank will lend it to us! I was a bit surprised as I thought with the current financial climate that they would not want to be lending so easily - especially for something which will, if it works, mean I have a load of time off and therefore earn less money!
Hopefully we won't have to take him up on the offer......

Hi everyone, We've got our appointment at the fertility clinic on Thursday,so it will be decision time,in regard to if we are suitable for ICSI and what our chances are. Me an OH have made the hard, but realistic decision that if there is a less than 10% chance of a BFP we'll leave it up to "mother nature" and what will be will be.

As we'll have to self fund our treatment, which is about 5k we can only afford one go at ICSI(with the help of my wonderful mum) and know that we'll not be able to save up quickly enough for another attempt, before my eggs are well and truly past it !!!

On Thurs we will know what the odds are, although they do say that ignorance is bliss and until we are told otherwise we've still got hope, but there does come a time when you have to face up to reality-I'm 40,with a fibroid and OH has dodgy sperm, but hey, miracles do happen !!!

    Hi all
Feeling a bit weird today. Actually took a pg test today (I don't usually give in to the urge) because I was due on yesterday and as yet I've had no sore boobs and no pmt. It was a BFN. Then I had my nan's funeral, which was a bit of a weird one (she had dementure for a long time before she died). Now I'm in that awful time where you've had a BFN, so probably aren't pregnant, but for whatever reason you refuse to actually believe it until AF arrives. Feel a bit poo. Don't want to say anything to OH because I dont see why he should have to go through the reollercoaster just because I do. But still feel poo.
Am not witty enough to put something cool and informative here:o :o

Know how you are feeling,Af was very, very late last month, took 4 pregnancy tests , all BFN,but It took until AF arrived before I gave up hope completely.

I was talking to my OH this afternoon and I said I am soo hungry, eve though I have just had my lunch. And he said that maybe you are eating for two. I nearly fell in tears! (Had to hold myself, as I am at work!!!). AF shouldn't be here yet, as it is only CD23, although I OVed 4 days earlier this month...

  • I was wondering where you'd all gone!! I tried sneaking a lurk during work today, and couldn't find the thread as quickly as normal - it must be quiet on here!

Fingers crossed for some BFPs on this new thread SOON!!!
