It depends on what the tests show? My consultant said there was no point in doing anything other than IVF as his experience with similar cases to mine showed it didn't work. IVf waiting list was 3 years in our area, so we went private. The IVF worked;DS born 2006.0 -
I've never had much help on NHS so can't help, Im afraid Miss PP.
Still holding off from testing, but I woke up at 6.00am this morning (most unlike me on a Saturday!) feeling horribly sick, and was like this until about 10.00am. Some tea and dry toast at that point has helped a bit, though think any smelly food would still tip me over the edge. Hubbie is looking at me with a very knowing look. It may of course be that I have caught DD's bug, though that was more of a high temp, sore throat kind of thing rather than a vomiting one. Still, one of the very few occasions when I don't mind feeling unwell too much.0 -

Sounds great Nicki - could this be the first??????
Let us know as soon as on Monday, I shall be more nervous than my own!!

How many dpo are you Nicki?
I am pee'ing like a preggo @ 8dpo lol and have been very exhausted yet restless and my backpain and cramping is far worse than usual. I've always told myself if its not possible for symptoms until its possible for a BFP though. I think after so long you can't help but be cynical!
Miss PP, im not sure if its the same nationwide, but IUI is through a fertility clinic too rather than the GYN or RE that does the S/A and blood tests. Here the waiting list is around 18 months for IUI. If this is a viable option then its alot cheaper than IVF to go private, but beware that some authorities state that once you have had any private fertility treatment you are unable to get any in the future from the NHS.0 -

They montiored my cycle for a couple of years while trying various drugs to help me ovulate. I had gone down the line of injecting myself with hormones and having regular scans and there wasn't a folicle in sight. They couldn't find any trace of me ovulating yet I had regular periods (not regular as in every 28 days but about 8-10 a year). Eventually I did react to the injections and had 2 follicles. Was told they were a bit on the small side but they would double the dose next month. There was no need as I became pregnant that month. :T~Laugh and the world laughs with you, weep and you weep alone.~:)

Same here. I've had 8 this year but i've only ovulated 3 times. Congrats on your BFP, thats fantastic :T Gives me a little hope too
Nicki you are doing great for 13dpo :A I'm nervous and excited for your result tomorrow...0 -
Hi All
Just been catching up
Nicki, got my finders crossed for you...a BFP on this board would be a great morale boost for everyone
Finally got my first appointment with the clinic for the 15th December. Not sure what to expect and a bit nervous. What have been other people's experiences?0 -
I read back my posts about the IUI last night, and realised that I haven't been confident it will succeed this time since we started the process, for so many different reasons. So I'm trying not to get my hopes up for tomorrow. I did in fact feel more pregnant last month, which was of course a BFN than I do this month. Still, I'm not out until AF puts in an appearance, and will test tomorrow anyway on the off chance. And if it is BFN, then there are a few IVFers this month, who may be able to produce the morale booster for the rest of us.0
