  • I think over here you only go to hospital for a 3rd mc. I also had to wait about 10 days between finding out it was a mc til taking the meds, to see if it came naturally.

If I had to go through the same again I would think twice about the meds. It seemed obvious to me at the time that I'd rather try meds than a D&C - but yes, it was pretty painful. They gave me a couple of paracetemol for the pain (), which I'm sure would have been quite useless even if I'd been able to keep them down...

Maybe my recovery would have been quicker with a D&C.....no 20 days of bleeding followed by strange periods...
Anyway, hopefully it won't be too long til my system gets back to normal.

I've had a natural mc and two d&cs. While I'd prefer natural in terms of letting my body get back together, D&C has always been painless and quick recovery. I didn't like the idea of medical because it involved both pain and interfering with my body's chemistry, seemed to me to be the worst combination! But I know everyone has their own reasons. Also I'd heard lots of stories where the medical ahdn't completely worked and the woman had to have a d&c anyway.

    Well, I'm back.....
Not so good news I think smiley5.gif...Follies still growing but very slow - well the largest is now 21, but the others still lagging behind, and even more worrying is that the anaesthetist doesn't like my BP being up and asked for me to have an ECG smiley5.gif- Yikes!

Never had an ECG before. Luckily they could fit me in this morning, although a bit of a rush as I had to get back for the mtg at work...and I was all sticky with body-lotion (and a bit hot & bothered) so the pads would not stick! It took 5 attempts to get a steady chart!

Got to go back on Friday for yet another scan (so that'a another 2 days of meds to pay for, and another 2 days of double-injections), and now hoping for EC on Monday - which will muck up my whole week next week and cause hassle with the SK's. Then if we get to blasto I prob. won't be able to do the sponsored walk we are all supposed to be doing next Sat 20th (and will have to find a good excuse - ie. lie as to why I am not doing it)... but now I'm more worried that they will see something nasty on the ECG and won't operate on me at all so I won't get to have EC...ARRGGHHHHH

...And the Mtg at work was really annoying! Basically warning us that the company is not doing well, and there will be job-losses to come, but no-one knows where/when the axe will fall... no more than we all had worked out already - DUH!

Just wanna go home and have a good cry now - SO FRUSTRATED!

What a horrible day it has been for you FE.

I think we all forget how stressful all this stuff is - we need to all sit down, take a deep breath and realise we are not superwomen! You sound so stressed FE, I wish I could find words to offer comfort, all I can do is offer you a virtual hug xx.

Good luck with ECG result, job, anaesthetic options and follies (which by the way, sound like they are moving in the right direction - even if it is taking longer than would be liked). Give yourself some rest, whatever the ECG result, it's not going to be helped by you allowing yourself to get even more stressed than the treatment and job situation are already making you...

Please slow down, treat yourself to something nice, put on a nice film and allow yourself to switch off for the evening if you can xx

Oh FE, what a time you are having! I had to have an ECG before one of my Egg collections. I think they are just covering themselves sometimes. They just wanted me to say I had had it checked out and I was ok to go ahead.

Sorry you are having such at time of it, hopefully you will have theEC on Monday and all will be back on track Stay calm!!!

Angelavdavis - hope it all went well today.

Well just to add to this down moment, I did a test first thing - 14 days after EC and got a BFN.

I will test again Saturday - 14 days after ET but its not looking good.

Then to add insult to injury - it looks like AF has arrived this afternoon (which would be day 28 so its right on que)!

    What a downer!

So sorry AD, I know it doesn't help but know exactly how you feel.
I've never made test day on any of my 5 cycles and its crushing.
Take time out and relax with your man, take the time to grieve for what wasn't meant to be and try to get your head together. I know thats easier said than done.
    Hugs

I'm off to the doctors tomorrow as the uncomfortable tugging sensation in the left side of my abdomen has got no better and it's accompanied by feeling sick and dizzy and frequently needing the toilet. I'm hoping it's something straight forward like a water infection but in the back of my mind I'm worried it's got something to do with the cyst that is on that side.

The doctor will probably just tell me to go back to the hospital but with completely relocating in two weeks I'm on a pretty short timescale. I'm just really worrying
