Oh Ginvzt. I don't know what to say except try to stay positive.

Thanks Shelly... Just talked with OH and he is going to call Bupa tonight and try to talk some reason to them. They never told me that they will not cover laparoscopy if I have hycosy!!!! I thought laparoscopy is the next step after hycosy, as who would choose surgery if they were given an option to avoid it???

On the whole I have found BUPA to be good but like you say they won't tell you what's not included unless you specifially ask what's not included.

I hope you get something sorted with them.

Ginvzt, all my laps were covered by BUPA, although they were for Endometriosis not infertility. I would have thought that it could be argued that it was for investigation of the cyst, so therefore covered. I would rattle some cages, because it sounds as if you have ben badly advised by them. I am sure you would have paid for Hc yourself and claimed the lap, rather than the other way round!

    Hope it goes well.

Somnium, well done on the 16 follies, hopefully all will go well.

Angelavdavis, thoughts are with you. Am currently watching 60 min makeover, I have my daytime tv well sorted!!

Ginvzt, what an awful time you are having. Sending you positive vibes over the web.....

Lilo - you sound like an expert at this daytime TV lark! I sometimes get the impression that as the team from 60 minute makeover are walking out the door, the wallpaper has started falling back off the walls again :rotfl::rotfl:

Well, I have managed to kill a couple of hours today with cousin - girlie chats always make the time disappear, have put casserole in slow cooker and put bread in BM. Voting later should take up another hour or so with the walk there and back (if OH lets me walk!)

Will start working on this web site and a couple of documents for the Charity as I have a meeting tomorrow where I will present and I haven't started one of the documents at all yet (its only one side of A4) and the web site is taking an age to load!)

Tomorrow should be easier as meeting at Charity will take about 2 hours tomorrow afternoon, so just got morning to fill finishing off work for meeting.

Terrible isn't it - trying to fill time!
:D Thanks to MSE, I am mortgage free!:D

Oh no, I misssed the 60 min makeover! Blame cat, as we were at vets and I had to listen to Puffo's concert for being in the carrier!

I am too emotional to talk to them again today. My OH will try to call them tonight again. Also, I got an email from consultant's secretary, and she also said that my cyst needs draining, so will try to pursue that line as well. I don't want to go back to NHS yet!!!!

Doctor said that I will have to be off work for 1-2 weeks afterwards, so I need to think when can I have laporoscopy done, as we are going on holiday in 4 weeks! Anyway, he suggested not to TTC until I have laparoscopy done, so I think we will obey this.

    Ginvzt,
I'm sorry that you're having the added stress of all this as well as the medical side it's not fair.
What I can tell you though is I had some issues with BUPA last year so I did my usual and went straight to the top. I found the chief execs details and sent a registered letter to him. I have to say his PA went out of her way to resolve things quickly and efficiently with no fuss. I was extremely impressed with the way they handled everything and they really did go the extra mile when it mattered. I would highly recommend trying this route!

Thanks so much for all the support. If my OH won't pick up the phone today (I can bet he won't), I'll call again tomorrow. I'll quote the secretary's email and see what I can do about it then. Try and request to talk with medical team, if nothing works out, will try your route! At the moment I just want to curl up in bed and do nothing, but the house won't clean itself!

Thank you all for the words of support. It's nice to have people that understand and I don't feel so isolated. Everyone I know seems to have fallen accidently, or it worked first time. I have cheered up a bit now. DH has gone and bought us a caravan so we can have lots of nice breaks and destressing time. It has taken my mind of ttc a bit although I'm still thinking about what it would be like caravanning with a baby etc etc.

Ginzvt - that doesn't sound right from BUPA. The laparoscopy is about the cyst they have found. Despite that fact you were having tests for infertility you would have to have this dealt with now even if you changed your mind about wanting children. I would write to them and explain this as the problem with the telephone is you can speak to anyone and they can give you a silly answer, but they won't when it's in writing.

Shelly - congratulations, sounds like it's all going really well

Did you mean to congratulate someone else and not me? I have nothing going on at the moment :o
