Wow nottslass that's great news!
I have to admit, upon first reading your post and seeing Toniq's post, I thought you'd just gone and got yourself a hamster. I hadn't quite understood the BFP terminology.
Hopefully that will be the first of many more BFPs on this thread.0 -

Please don't think I'm being rude but I have thanked you as you made me smile! :rotfl::heart2: Love isn't finding someone you can live with. It's finding someone you can't live without :heart2:0 -

Had some news of my own at the consultants today. As I said, I wasn't sure what they were going to want to do knowing that my one tube is blocked from childhood appendicitis.
Well, turns out, they want to take it out! Apparently the blockage basically drips a little bit of nasty back into the womb and that can half the chances of IVF (and presumably natural conception?) so it needs to get gone. We've also been told that we'll go straight to IVF when it's time, so in 1 year we'll be at the top of the IVF list. So that's good.
Also she has given me chlomid (though she seemed as if she didn't hold out much hope for it) and I'm on CD2 today, so I've started immediately. The op will require two weeks off and will probably happen in the next 6 months or so - definately before this time next year.
I'm feeling like that's moving things quite quickly - doesn't ICSI normally get tried before IVF? I feel like we might be skipping a couple of steps, and that's good (although it also must mean our natural chances are less than we initially thought). So a bit scary - we had a real shock when we were told, but all in all we feel pretty positive about it all. And in a year we'll still only be 30, so it's all good.Am not witty enough to put something cool and informative here:o0 -
