Sadly not toniq - only distraction works for me (and not very well!)

Glad to hear from you nottslass and that u r ok. Donor eggs sounds interesting certainly a route we may look at depending on how things go.

Epsilon - it does sound like you had a less-than-perfect experience at the Oxford clinic - maybe I will steer clear of them even though their stats are a little better than BCRM. At least I see the same consultant and nurse every time I go, and have since the beginning, although my nurse is leaving soon to go to London, so I guess if I have to carry on there I will have to get used to another one! I'm sad about it actually as she is so lovely - when we had our ectopic she was so upset for us, she sat and cried with me!
I think you got the gist of the process, except that your wife must have 'stimmed' after she 'down-regged' (the 'stimming' stuff is generally what you keep in the fridge!). I'm presuming that prior to this you had your 'swimmers' checked out for quality, quantity etc?

Nottlass - good to hear from you girl! - still keeping everything crossed that you get the result you deserve and sending you lots of PMA with the babydust & glue! Focus on that holiday.....

Thanks for the encouragement becs - yes IVF IS hard, but in a strange way it is a kind of relief to know that it is somehow out of my hands...on a non-IVF cycle I don't have to check the calendar, take temperatures, POAS to know my fertile time, BD at the 'right' time etc. etc. 'cos I know the chances of anything happening 'naturally' are so remote as to be practically impossible. It took a long time to accept that, but now that I have, I know I have to follow a prescribed pattern - tablets, injections, scans, all worked out on the calendar (within a few days towards the end admittedly, depending on my body's response to the meds) - it is kind of comforting in a strange way!

I really cannot believe it,I really was 100% convinced that It wouldn't work (I'd even thrown away my prescription for more cyclogest!)

Anyway, have been weeing for england since Sunday (sorry TMI) and put it down to a slight infection - (well until late last night, when I read it could be a sign of HCG)
Woke up this morning feeling a bit sick,so to stop myself getting carried away,I thought that I'd put myself out of my misery & POAS.
I was that convinced it would be a BFN that I even put the washing out before checking the result...............well the rest, as they say is history !!!!

I also went to boots and brought a clear blue that says pregnant /not pregnant & that was a BFP too:j:j:j:j

    OMG I'm can't believe it !!!!!!!!
