Super news toniq - will you freeze the extras, for baby no 2 of course!!! (thinking positive!)
LonelyinLondon, nice to 'see' a new face, dont worry about what stage you are at, you are welcome here for as long as you need us, its not just for those at IVF, its more that it is hard to hear people getting BFPs so quickly when you have been trying so long to get pregnant, so we broke away to distinguish those who havent found it so easy, and to let off steam and get advice from others in the same boat. A lot of people have had a lot of success with getting their OHs on a regime of supplements to improve their sperm counts/results etc - so maybe this is the way to go. But bear in mind it takes 3 months to produce a sperm, so any changes you take now will take three months to show in an improved result. Good luck with whatever you decide.

Thankfully Supercur is in nasal spray format, Menopur injections start 27th if scan proves everything is going to plan. The nasal spray is super easy to use all tho I do have the runny nose feeling for a bit after! So far feeling fine hope it stays like thatMeal was tres scrummy if not particularly healthy, but am kinda using the excuse that am looking after my mental well being atm hehe.

hope everyone well xxx#JusticeForGrenfell0 -
Well, I started the dreaded jabs yesterday - hope its all worthwhile. Am back at clinic on fri for scan.
Toniq - so pleased for you - 8 embys is fabulous. I hope I am as lucky. Good luck with 2ww. xx
I do hope no news is good news for Nottslass.....
LiL, my OHs test was 2% morphology but the consultant said he was confident they would get a decent sperm extract with that level. If you go down the IVF route it will probably mean having to opt for ICSI.Thanks to MSE, I am mortgage free!

Sarah - so, so sorry to hear your news. Life can be so unfair, and so cruel sometimes. (((Hugs))) and thinking of you.
Hi Lonelyinlondon & welcome! I married my DH 3 years ago, I was 35 & he was 45 (we had been trying for about 2 years before that, having got together when I was 32). The only thing I would say about age is that you are 100% right to ask for tests ASAP, as everything takes so long! I had to fight my GP for tests after we had been trying over 2 years, and wish I hadn't waited so long, as it turned that that there were problems. Hopefully you find that everything is OK and it's just a case of 'keep on trying', but best find out sooner rather than later. Have you read Taking Charge of Your Fertility? It is a brilliant book and told me so much about my body that I wished I had known years ago!
Toniq - great news on the blasto transfer and the frosties! Did you actually have blasto's frozen? My clinic say it is very rare for them to freeze blasto's, so I'd love to know if it is usual in other clinics?
Somnium - It's interesting how all our treatments differ slightly....I started downregging before you, on Tues 12th, but I don't start stimming until after you, Fri 29th. I also don't have a scan before then, I have to have bloods done on 26th, but don't have to wait for results before I start stimming, and don't get scanned until 5th June to see how the follies are doing!
Still thinking about Nottlass too - if you are reading this then please let us know how you are doing Hun?
Have any of you other 'IVF Ladies' found that the side-effects are worse the more times you have IVF? The first time I had hardly any symptoms (except bad moods!) except bloating towards the end. The second time I felt 'under the weather' during downreg and tired all through the treatment, and was very emotional & moody. This time - Well! Since I started downregging I have had a headache I can't shift and feel achey all over like I'm going down with a bad cold which just hasn't arrived, and I'm exhausted - for nearly a week now!The best advice you can give your children: "Take responsibility for your own actions...and always Read the Small Print!"
..."Mind yer a*se on the step!"
TTC with FI - RIP my 2 MC Angels - 3rd full ICSI starts May/June 2009 - BFP!!! Please let it be 'third time lucky'..... EDD 7th March 2010.0 -
Hi Fe i def had 6 blastos frozen, when i had my transfer on the saturday i spoke with the embryologist about the chances of losing any of my embabies on thawing, she went on about they lose 10% max of the edge of the blasto but they r def better freezers than non blastos, and when lab called sunday to confirm they again mentioned that i was very lucky to have had 6 blastos frozen, some minor hiccup till they locate our hiv tests they r frozen seperatley from my other frozen.
Im with Guys and St thmoas's and i know they do a lot of research continuouslly into IF and IVF, ICSI PGd so we choose them as a clinic with a more aggressive approach and experience itms xxx what clinic are u with Fe? xxx#JusticeForGrenfell0
