    :rotfl:Nevermind. I had to ask if North was straight up on a map :rotfl:
    I am member of an online gaming site and lots of Americans ask where I am in relation to London. I tell them 'I am above London when looking at a map' :D

    HI toniq,I'm struggling with the positive mental attitude at the mo,but as they say,tomorrows another day !!!

    Got another scan tomorrow,so hopefully things will be looking a bit better.

    How are you feeling physically ? I'm feeling really tired,and my arms and legs are achy & heavy - I can't work out if its the drugs or old age.lol

    Not sure how many clicks for the gonal f,I just let OH get on with it !!!(mind u,I think he secretly enjoys playing Doctors)

    Hope that everyone else is ok and will get plenty of BDing in over the bank holiday.

    Whilst searching for something else I came across this.... http://www.timesonline.co.uk/tol/life_and_style/health/article5769066.ece

    ~~~ SNIP~~~
    Edited to add ~ I think i'll give my GP surgery a call and see if I can find out what the new criteria will be....see if its worth getting excited about :D
    Further to this post I made yesterday...
    I spoke to my GP and he hasn't heard of the article or any changes to the criteria for IVF in overweight couples.
    He said he would try and find out some info for me but in the mean time I could also find out myself.
    I found the East of England Health Authority website and called a number listed to see if anyone could give me info.
    Soon as the phone was answered I went into my chat about wanting to know the new eligibility criteria so see if we qualified.
    The guy cut me short and said he was security, I need to call back on monday :o :rotfl:
    Hi shelly,its so unfair that getting Ivf funding in down to a postcode lottery and strict criteria.
    If you've been denied funding simply because of your BMI,would your GP be able to help and support you, in reducing it ? I do know that our local PCT runs several "healthy lifestyle" schemes.
    At our clinic they won't treat you if your BMI is over 35 and this rule is the same if you are NHS or self funded.
    Hi.
    The GP I spoke to did ask if I was getting help with the weight loss and I was honest and told him that I am kind of. I spoke to the dietician at the surgery and she said I could see her anytime I wanted to or just call her up for a telephone consultation.
    I also told him that I am loathe to do anything that is strict as when I was on weightwatchers it got me so low that my health was being questioned by my Mum and Hubby but on the good side I lost 3 stones n order to get married :D
    What I started to do last october time was just cut down portion sizes and have healthier snacks in than I would normally eat. for example....low fat crisps...yogurts and lots of fruit. I also used the treadmill we have and used a fitness DVD. It started to work and I lost a few pounds but then my Dad had a bad car accident in november and it all went to pot as I was at the hospital everyday.
    Now I just need to get back into it.
    With regards to BMI and IVF I was told that if my BMI was over 29 ( I was 32!) I wouldnt get NHS funding, I promised that I would loose the weight and my Doc said she would do what she could. I still got my IVF funding however it said in bold print at the start that if I hadn't gotten it down my the date of my first appointment there may be issues (or something to that effect). Fortunatley for me between recieving the letter and the appointment I managed to loose just over a stone and my BMI was 28 by the time of the appointment. The specialist was very impressed and said if I could loose more it would deffinatley help my chances. Its been slow and hard work but its a great motivation knowing what the outcome could be.
    Had my scan this morning - follies growing nicely,and should be ripe for picking on Wednesday.
    Still only got six and which rules out blastocyst transfer, as you need over 8, but as they say "its quality not quantity" that matters.
    Back on Monday morning for another scan at 7.30 am -how anti social is that on a bank holiday ?
    Hope you're doing OK and the PMA is working.
