JS other Half - I call it GA, they call it sedation - it knocks me out altogether whatever it is!!!!!

Hi Ladies,

Need a bit of advise.I've been told to ring the clinic on day 1 of my cycle,so that I can arrange for a AFC scan on day 2-5.Sorry if seems a really silly question,but is day 1 classed as "full flow" or is spotting classed as day 1 ?

Day 1 is when you have full flow, you don't count spotting at all, but personally if ff started for me say late afternoon or evening I would call the following day day 1.
If I woke with full flow or started ff before midday I'd call that day 1.

Thanks Shelly, I also gave the clinic a ring, and they said wait until full flow - mind you, Who'd have thought after 27 years of having periods I'd be asking for confirmation on what is day 1.lol

I know exactly what you mean!
Up until quite recently I didn't know either. I always thought first day of spotting was day 1.
