Right Ladies, I did my fertility dance for Lilo,It better have blomming worked 'cos if it hasn't I've made a right plonker of myself !!! Mind you perhaps I shouldn't have done it in full view of the public.lol

lilo are you back home? Sorry I don't know the way it all works so I don't know how quickly you will be home but I hope you are ok!

I had my 3D AFC scan today - its a pre IVF scan which checks everything from follicles to fibroids and egg reserve (and anything else they happen to find !)
Anyway,not sure if everything OK or not,apparently I've got "multiple" fibroids (only thought I had 1) one ovary is "OK for your age" (OMG bring me the zimmer frame) the other is a "little Small".oh and they found something else but I can't remember what !

Next step is for the consultants to discuss the findings,so that they can decide if we can start treatment this cycle,they said that they will get back to me in a couple of days,so I'm stuck in limbo,waiting for the call.

If we get the go ahead embryo transfer should be Xmas week - Although we're not sure if this is a good or bad idea as we will be on the 2ww over Xmas

She should have been released within 30 mins of the transfer. If she's any sense she's taking it easy:D

You lot are really awful!!! But you've really made me laugh - very good for a lady in my condition - I am so glad I did not see the fertility dance tho!!!!

Well, it all went really well, although I had to let out a bit of wee cos I had to wait a little while and I felt ready to explode!! We got there well early, and had breakfast in Starbucks - we got in and settled, made drinks etc and then it was 'all off' and into a gown (not in Starbucks!!!). Now, I have to say the position is not dignified, and having a consultant with their nose virtually in your unmentionables is an experience I hope not to repeat again - and when they say try and relax - well!!!!!!! Anyway, it was all smiles re the embryo, it was Grade 1 (as good as it gets) which is superb, and apparently raises our chances of success and it has got to 8 cells, which is great.

We got to play our music, and the embryo transfer was done to the music from our wedding which was lovely and then I got loads of time to lay down and relax, and given a list of the dos and donts, I am to be pampered!!!! (chance would be a fine thing) we finally left the clinic at midday, home at about 2pm. My lovely DH has been wonderful, and has arranged fo me to be off work next week, so I will be a lady of leisure.

So, its down to the 2ww and fingers, legs and everything crossed. I am like a cat on a hot tin roof but I must be patient!

That sounds great!! and dont worry, all our ovarys are working on zimmer frames, but dont forget you only need one good egg and one good sperm to make a baby! I hope that it all goes well for starting the cycle - sounds like a great christmas present to me!

Oooh its all very exciting for you lilo! Really glad that it went well for you and you make sure you enjoy your week off and relax and take it easy. The 2ww will be over before you know it!
