Nottslass - yeh, I'm CD15 today.
You get to 'shop around' for your meds??? I don't get a choice - the clinic places the order and it gets delivered to me (and my bank account gets debited - £410 at the moment this time - hope I don't need more stimming meds this time, as that'll be another bill!).
Re the alcohol, once you've exhausted the ususal 'I'm driving' 'I'm on antibiotics' 'I'm on a diet' I've found the best bet is slight of hand....I'm really skilled at swapping DH's (almost empty) glass with my (almost full) one at regular intervals!
G&T is a good one - a tiny drop of gin gives it the smell (or even just wiped around the rim of the glass) and plenty of ice and lemon/lime slices help.
I'll let you know when I think of any more.....The best advice you can give your children: "Take responsibility for your own actions...and always Read the Small Print!"

Yep,I can either shop around,or get them from the hospital pharmacy - I've been told that the hospital pharmacy is quite competitive price wise,as they buy so many, but I've also read that if you go direct to the drug company you don't have to pay VAT.I'll let you know if there are any significant savings to be made.0 -

G&T is usually my drink of choice. During the 2ww I generally try to make at least every other drink lemonade with 'ice and a slice' so it still looks like G&T to everyone else. DH and I have a code... if I ask for G&T it means lemonade, if I ask for Bombay Saphire & Tonic it means I want the real deal. It works a treat... usually... though one restaurant misunderstood 'lemonade with lemon' for 'lemonade with lime cordial' (?!?!), leading to plenty of akward questions when the drink was delivered to the table!!
I'll have to remember the gin around the rim trick :rotfl:0 -
AF turned up this morning, putting another myth to bed. I thought your luteal phase was fixed, and that mine was 14 days based on past experience, but this time its been 17 or 18 days long depending on when I ov'd
I didn't have AF when I woke up (at 7.30am) but she had arrived by 10.00am. Do you think I should count this as Day 1, and have my Day 2 bloods done tomorrow, or is tomorrow Day 1 and the bloods to be done on Thursday?

Awww Nicki, sorry 'the witch' has got you this month.
I don't think luteal phases are 'fixed' as such - mine seems to vary - it is usually 15 days, but has been as short as 12 and as long as 20 before now....
I think I would count today as day 1 if you are in 'full flow' (IFKWIM) - my clinic told me if in full flow before 12.00 midday then count as day one. (I tend to find that from spotting to full flow usually takes me about 12 hours.)

Would anyone like to shoot me???? I hate myself for symptom spotting - I am like a cat on a hot tin roof.
I have sore boobs, but they are not sore all the time, last night they were really sore, this morning not so sore , tonight will probably be sore again. Stomach is unsettled, I feel sick without being sick IFKWIM, with a funny taste(not metallic) I am really tired. All sounds good, but the sore boobs are worrying me, I thought they should get increasingly sore and all the time????? I keep worrying that it was going well, but hasnt implanted, etc, etc, etc - AAAAAAAAAAAGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!
As I said - just shoot me

Hi your luteal phase does not normally change by more than a do or so. The phase before you ovulate can vary quite a lot though.Sometimes what seems like a late period can be a very early miscarriage, which if you were not charting you would just assume it was a late period. Are you taking your temp every morning , if you are you should notice on the day you get your period your temp will drop. You take day one of your cycle as the first day of red blood or at least that is what i have read. Good luck.0 -

Thanks. I'm not temping but am using OPKs. I was doing early pg tests up to Sunday which were all BFN so think its unlikely it was an early mc. In a way I'd prefer it was, so at least I would know that I have been able to conceive, and it would also explain the weird symptoms I'd had this month, but not others since I started ttc this time round.
I'm going to count this as CD1 then, and will get my bloods done tomorrow, and make an appt with the clinic for next week to start the IUI monitoring. At least this month should go a little faster if we know we're actually doing something to help things along, though I bet the 2 ww is as bad as ever. In the meantime I'm going to try and stop reading pregnancy forums or threads on MSE and take my mind of things, as I got a bit overexcited this month, though will still be checking in to this one0
