Hehe, can I blame pregnancy hormones for the confusion? (Yes, I can, seeing as I blame them for everything else!)

Hi guys, as I thought, I have now transferrred over to the Expecting list. Got A BFP. I know I am very early on and have lost 2 pregnancies before and i am not telling anyone yet, aprt from you guys cos your not real!!
Feel very emotional, does that happen in early PG? and OH reaction was mainly of shock, expected him to jump for joy but he did not expect it to happen so quick. He is very shocked and now I feel a bit freaked out. Anyone else had this? anyway speak later
xx:j  :j0 -
mirrorimage0 - i understand the excitement with the midwife appointment. the strange thing is that they take your word for the fact that you are pregnant, they dont do any tests or anything, just start going through your and bub's dad's medical history and your options etc.
nicole136 - congratulations on the BFP. as for the shock, i can sympathise. my hubby didn't believe me when i told him the test was positive. we hadn't been trying very long (appreciate how lucky we were) so it was a shock to get a positive so early. it took a long time for it to sink in for us.0 -
yes i know my old doctor with my other two children when i went down there and told him i was pregnant he made me do a sample and take it to the hospital to have it confirmed before i see the midwife but this time my new doctor just took my word for it and now i have an appointment with the midwife, i suppose it saves them time and money anyway, and they would soon know if you arent really pregnant .
congrats nicole136, it just means finding out early we have soooo long to wait until bubba arrivesnow proud mum to 3 handsome boys :j latest one born 10/10/11:j0 -
welcome aboard nicole - I knew it was baby brain that made you type moolythewhistle
:rotfl:
I am a little freaked out that your EDD is later than the anniversary of my BFP (IYSWIM!). That means by the time you are due I will have a 4 month old :eek:please listen to MFD - she is a wise womanProud Mummy to the gorgeous Benjamin John born 14 March 2009, 8lbs 14ozA new little seedling on the way, due 30 September 20120 -
Huge Congrats nicole! :j It can be a huge shock, but I am sure your OH just needs to let it sink in, then he will be jumping for joy! I am finding it hard to believe that this time next year I will be someones mum!:eek:Value of prizes 2010 - 2017: £8374 Wins 2022: Magic set
Debt free thanks to MSE0 -
Congrats nicole.
wow I can't believe I am almost halfway up the list, the time is flying past. It seemed to take ages to get to 12wks now I will be 21wks tom and it is now 12wks until I start my maternity leave.....
I can't believe it either, dh has agreed to another baby after this one, and hasn't ruled out how soon. At first he said not too soon but I was saying to him I want another close age gap like ds1&2 as by the time ds1 & 2 are both in high school at ages 13 and 11, and off out playing with friends....this baby will only be about 6 they aren't exactly going to be best buddies. I would like him/her to have a sibling close in age too.
