    Hi Ladies!
WOW Ickle I can't imagine how shocked you must of been when the said "its twins!"
I think I would've fallen off the table or at least weed a bit (how good is that wee straight after your scan!)

Well welcome neewbies and I wonder if DaisyK's baby is in the world yet!?
Pooter is still making strange noises so I can't stick around just popped in to say I'm really chuffed as We've just got nearly £900 in tax credits paid as I'd forgotten to tell them I wasn't working anymore! I ut £400 straight in the baby saving account so its now up to £735!! (I've been puttin a tenner a week in plus any excess left at the end of the month) so should really help with new pram etc
Although we maybe forced to spend it on a builder as My other baby (Meg my dog) had another Fit the other day so I'm contemplating having her here with me as she lives at my mum n dads but would need to fix our "solarium" to be a non-leaky freezing room into a cosy doggy home! xx
The very best is sometimes what nature gives us for free.

  • Thanks for all your kind words!

My name is Icklebeans as my cat is called Beans. How appropriate the name is now due to twins being diagnosed!

I am at work and can't think straight at all. Rang my bro and mum - they asked if I was joking!

It isn't sinking in at all.

And yep, that wee after the scan was sooooo good!

    Oh my.

Just had my first dating scan at 11 weeks. Within 5 seconds she told us we are having twins.

I am in complete shock. Was expecting to hear if it was healthy or not, but not that news.

No twins in family and this was a natural conception.

We are very happy but deeply shocked!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    OMG!!!

They told us it might be twins when I was in early on due to how sick I was... but they did a scan at 6 weeks and only sign of one! (12 week scan on monday please let there still only be one!!!!)

Friends of mine have twins and they are beautiful but VERY hard work!!!

    Best of luck icklebeans!

PS I'm not jealous I'm afraid :) And I'll be crossing all fingers and toes they can still only see one on monday!!!

I do think it's kind of freaky that you had the 's' on the end of your name :D

As i have said before, I am so very jealous that you are having twins, i am sure they will be a lot of hard work but double the reward which will be amazing.

I'm not sure when it will sink in for you of course, but once it does, i really hope you enjoy your pregnancy and your two precious ones that you will be carrying.

Don't forget to say yes to all the help you can and all the hand me downs that people offer you :D

Make sure you look after yourself now!!!

  • Not just in shock at the news of twins but actually seeing them on screen - both of them were wriggling away, hands and feet. Saw heart beats too - amazing.

We got three pictures printed - the midwife told us to put two in my bag and pay for one saying it isn't our fault we were having twins, which I thought was nice. We have a pic of them together and one pic of each of them!
