Yes, but the big issue is £££ my contract finishes currently @ end of dec and it wouldnt be renewed if i didnt go permamnet as they would have to get someone else permanant. I am going home to NZ for most of Jan (planned in March 08) so would have problems coming back 7 months gone and finding work for 2 months. with OH sal we would have about £300-£350 a month for food and living expenses, (not mortgage or bills) from dec, tis incudes buying stuff for bubs (I think we will get a few gifts but don't anyone who has hand me downs) so they extra sal until july would tide us over, and we NEED a new bathroom as we only have a bath that is really high and i struggle now getting in and out of it, and we dont have a car,,, sorry I will stop ranting now, just needed to get it off my chest.

BTW - Twins!! wow congrats and what a shock!!!
and Angelfairy - you are superwoman!!!! thats must be why they give you so much to do, but just remember to breath!!

Hi there, I would just accept the permanent position, you have got to put yourself 1st and you cant risk not having an income or good mat leave just so you dont upset them, no one can guarentee anyone will stay in a job once they take it, they may hire someone else and they may not even last as long as you would. Even if you dont accept it they will still have to advertise for another person, which is all they will be doing later, so no differet really...

My friend did the same and she never regrets the decision, you are so early (ish!!) on anyway, some people might not know (ok, tweaking it a little!!!)

    moolythewhistle, congrats and welcome

and the lady with twins how lovely,

Im hoping to join you all soon, may even make an announcement soon?!!! you never know!!!!!!!

    Oh my.

Just had my first dating scan at 11 weeks. Within 5 seconds she told us we are having twins.

I am in complete shock. Was expecting to hear if it was healthy or not, but not that news.

No twins in family and this was a natural conception.

We are very happy but deeply shocked!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Funny your name is ickle beans and not ickle bean!!! you must have known!!!!!!

Are they identicle, I.e share the same sac and placenta? as these are not hereditary anyway,

or are they non identical, I.e you ovulated 2 eggs and they both got fertilized? which are hereditary as we can inherit our mothers cycle and ovulation stuff.. how exciting
    xxxxxx

Thanks for that nicole - I didn't know you get the non identical twins "gene" from your mothers side. I don't stand a chance then! (See I've only been in here a few hours and I'm learning stuff already!)
