Just caught up after being offline since midday - internet connection totally crashed - only got it back at 10:30 after chasing the techies (it helps being senior management in the ISP who provides your network connection lol) and getting them to fiddle some settings and I suspect rebooting part of the system - so if anyone lost connection temporarily round 10:20ish in my area I'm sorry ;) It was probably my fault :rotfl:
Off to bed now it's been fixed... I'm knackered and husband is on his way to Canada... missing him already! going to be counting minutes till he's back early saturday!

i know it's probably the last thing you need, but have you thought of reporting her to the police?

if the threats she is making is on your phone/dan's phone then you can show that to the police. also with the volume of calls to dan, possible harassment complaint (has to be a course of action undertaken on at least two occasions)

i appreciate sometimes the police see things as 'tit for tat' we all know we have to look after ourselves and our babies. the less stress for you the better.

    take care wont you?
Yes I reported her yesterday, just waiting for the police to contac me now, When Dan was finally released after they realised it was pure lies they told him to note down every call or text we get.
I'm hoping it's going to stop now.
    I'll be fine :A

Hi Emms  glad to hear that things seem to be moving along for you....I'm sure that it won't be long now. Have you a list of 'things to do' before baby arrives (i.e. cinema trip, dinner out with OH, lots of walks :D )

    Keep us posted.

I'm finding sleeping is harder these days - but I've another 11 weeks or so, so I'm hping its just a little phase and will settle a bit again as it's driving OH mad :D I normally sleep on my tummy, which is now out of the question and I wake myself up if I end up on my back and the sides aren't that comfy even with pillows etc. think I'll ahve to try and tire myself out a bit more before bedtime tonight.

glad you reported her. i forgot to say about taking note of any text or call. you should also note anything else that you think might be relevant, eg. if she goes to dan's house or yours for that matter.

not sure what they police are like in your area, but if you dont hear anything you might want to chase them to make sure they deal with your complaint.

there are two forms of harassment one with violence (or threat of) and one without.

look after yourself, i am worried about you.

    ========

Just added Mrs Army to the EDD list :D

Also, why I'm heard, I'm after a little bit of advice. Whilst we're aware it's quite common, Mrs A is having great problem sleeping at the moment, any advice about how to get a better night sleep would be greatly appreciated.

I also had trouble sleeping at mrs A's stage then all of a sudden it was all I could do for about 3 months :D

at the moment try the normal ideas - being tired before going to bed, drink a milky drink before bed, keep warm, have a not-too-hot bath etc

I found that it was the hormones making me not sleep and if I awoke then to get up and do something or read a book and to have naps at other times (during lunchtime if possible, or when she gets in from work etc). It does pass - although now it's back in the third trimester Arghhhh

  • I got to sleep fine last night, but then woke up at 3am with my first Braxton Hicks - stupid body should get the practise in during the daytime damnit! Then I couldn't get back to sleep properly till the alarm went off (I did sleep a bit, as I had lots of REALLY weird vivid dreams, but woke up loads, as I kept looking at the clock every 15 mins!) Today is going to be a struggle.

If I can find a solution I'll let you all know!

Armybike - I don't recall having trouble sleeping - quite the opposite! I'm a bit further along and it's all I can do - not helped by the meds I'm on to suppress the severe nausea... They make me drowsy. She'll probably find she needs a lot of naps in the future and she'll sleep like a rock once she's a bit further along :)

  • :D You'll get to the non-sleeping bit soon enough MrsT ;)

I actually managed to sleep fairly well last night (only 1 trip to the loo) and I have found a flat-ish pillow that is doing the trick for the moment. That's probably the best night I have had for a while though.
My little tip is that when you wake thinking you need the loo then just go! If you think 'I don't need it that badly' or 'I will be getting up in a few hours anyway' then you will end up getting up eventually (after torturing yourself about it) - you may as well just go whilst you can do it without waking yourself too much IYSWIM.

I am having the stupidly vivid dreams too! A recurring one at the moment being that they find another baby in there! Also lots of dreams of people disowning me because I am not having a girl :o thankfully - the whole family knows that it is a boy now so this might start to ease!
