r.mac, you are so wise and wonderful, that post was lovely and so insightful!
I can't promise that all my replies will illicit this response :p
  • Good luck Daisy!!

I'll be totally honest and say I found it a massive adjustment going from just one child to two, particularly with a refluxy colicky newborn but it's a quick learning curve and you'll be fine. Just make sure you take up every single offer of help put your way, even if it seems simple at the time.

Well im 37+3 now and we had a bit of a panic on Sat night when I had some red spotting, and coupled with the back spasms I had been having on and off that day we were a bit concerned. Called the hospital and they asked loads of questions and just think its my cervix getting ready for labour. Hope that means its going to happen sooner than later! Couldnt cope with going overdue!!

Oooh Krystal you came to my hometown! what do you think of the wondrous Wigan?:p there has been a bit of an uproar over the bright orangeyness of taybarns, I take it you weren't put off by it :D

It was quite handy that it was bright orange otherwise we would of missed it, the sat nav was trying to send us down the motorway! That was about all I saw of wigan though I'm afraid, we were only passing through... Although my brother lived there for a while that was the first time I've been lol.

Welcome back Ikkle, I've been wondering where my due date twin was! Glad you had a nice time, and well done on the washing... I've barely done any in weeks and the ironing is out of control!
A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I do pity my husband though, he's the one to suffer the hormones...
Krystal is so smart and funny and wonderful I am struck dumb in awe in her presence.

  • Congratulations Sarah and good luck DK

FG, it really started to feel real for me when I could feel the baby kicking me (and more so when DH could feel it too - that's when he really started bonding with the baby, and realising he he has to STOP spending quite so much money in the pub ;) ). I don't forget that I'm pregnant much now (at 30 weeks), but I do keep forgetting how massive my tummy is and bumping into things! Good thing baby is well padded in there!

I'm off to the doctors tomorrow to get my blood pressure checked out - I've been feeling dizzy the past few days, and my tummy is a bit itchy too (I keep reading how it being very itchy is apparently a pre-eclampsia...) I'm pretty sure I'm just being paranoid, but not seeing MW till next week, so no point worrying till then.

congrats sarah!! hope you got good painkillers and they kick in soon

Daisy good luck and dont worry about 2 lol im on no 5 so really it cant be that bad and they ae 7, 6 ,3 and 9 months with no 5 cooking at 24 weeks!!

trying to keep up with all this lol! what makes a good pram is: it is light enough to lift in and out the car, adjustable handle as me and OH are different heights, easy to take apart and put back together again, machine washable, being compact enough to store away if required.
i have been through a few and to be honest i love my coachbuilt silvercross pram as baby sleeps great in it and its fantastic to push, i have bought a phil and teds and yet again it is really good to push, fold etc etc. i have a bebecar system with car seat, travel cot and seat unit and it is a lovely pram but is bulky in the car, heavy to lift, and when baby outgrows car seat and carry cot you have to find somewhere to store them!(however sister is waning this so i may have room to move:D)

anyway been crazy here today midwife phoning tom so i can get blood taken after finding out DD had slap cheek, this is just to be on the safe side but i never slept well last night worrying? however i have just put a deposit on a zafira and should have it for thurs!! cant believe im going to need 7 seats, got a totally cr*p trade in price for my lovely mazda but needs must!
What's for you won't go past you

i know it's probably the last thing you need, but have you thought of reporting her to the police?

if the threats she is making is on your phone/dan's phone then you can show that to the police. also with the volume of calls to dan, possible harassment complaint (has to be a course of action undertaken on at least two occasions)

i appreciate sometimes the police see things as 'tit for tat' we all know we have to look after ourselves and our babies. the less stress for you the better.

    take care wont you?
  • Congratulations, Sarah and welcome to the world, Ethan! :j.

And lots of good luck and best wishes for tomorrow, Daisykate! :D

Just getting around to catching up with the thread (I've missed you guys!). Not logged on for a while as both Poppy and DH have been unwell....but I've got my 'me time' back now! :D
