Still doesn't feel real for me (15 weeks today!)

When did it feel 'real' for everyone?

Talking of dating scans, how accurate is thier method of dating? I've got no idea what conception was, or last period (could be anywhere in a 4 month window) so only have the scan to go off.

I'm happy today. Met a new Pyschiatrist, who gave me a different diagnosis and recommended treatment, which is much, much better. Had a long chat about pregnancy and mental health, and he definitely believes that pregnancy and motherhood can have a curative effect, and I'm a good 'candidate'. No one is worried about PND, so thats good! I was very worried about PND and Pyschosis.

FG - i am 20+3 today and still forget i am pregnant. I keep thinking the realisation might hit when i have a good size bump and can feel and see bubs kick.

As for the dating scan, they measure the length of bubs and i think that might give them the indication of how many weeks you are and therefore your EDD. I recall at my dating scan, she measured bubs and said it fell in line with the dates we had.

    HTH

Im glad for you that your appointment with the pyschiatrist went well :D and that you seem to be pleased with what was discussed. I think we all are worried about PND and perhaps more so for you (even though I am unsure of your history). I know it's something that i worry about but i keep telling myself that i will just have to ask questions if i am not sure of what i am doing with baby and that there is no same in that; and if i am feeling down or overwhelmed, ask for help. That is my plan anyway :D

oh bless him, that is sweet :D

my hubby would be more than happy with second hand if it saved money. i still might have a look at the silvercross one (with the one handle :p ) and calculate adding the car seat etc and see what comes out in front.

does anyone know if mama and papas have sales on at Christmas for prams?? i know some of their stock is reduced online now but not the 8 in 1 system that i am looking at?
I think it's daft, I would rather save a few hundred quid TBH :rotfl:

Oh no AM, hope the bunny boiler isn't going to cause you too much trouble. It's the last thing you need.

My turn 2moro been feeling really emotional today. I had lots of phone calls and texts from friends and keep welling up. im not nervous about the section i think its the thought of coping with a 3 year old and a newborn that is the frightening part.

Mother and Father in law have arrived and at this moment cooking tea for us all while i have a rest. Not sure im going to sleep very well tonight!
