hiya just popping in. Hello to everyone who is joining us - it's a nice place here and I hope that you all stay (plus I LOVE seeing all the photos of the new additions :D )

MFD, it's a hard one prams isn't it. Think we are stuck on the bugaboo cameleon.....then again......

had a real growth spurt and am now 27 +2. I think I might have to take the plunge and move to maternity clothes now - eek!

Holiday still 13 days away - I can't wait :D although just realising that I have no 'summer' things that fit. think It better hit ebay :D

got a busy day ahead with housey things - having a stint on the 'puter to catch up on mse first though.

    morning...

have tried to catch up with all the posts from the weekend.

Candygirl, so sorry for your loss. I hope you and your daughter have lots of support around you. I can't believe your daughter is now 18weeks, gosh how time flies for all of us huh???

AM - hope your physio appointment goes well. my back has been sore all weekend, but hopefully it wont last.

I had a very very early night on saturday night becuase of my own stupidity. lifted things when i shouldn't and kept getting some pains late afternoon. took myself off to bed for a rest and a good telling off. wont be doing that again.

I have soooooo much work on at the moment and other things going on that can't quite work out where my head is, but hopefully it will all sort itself out.

i have found the pram/car seat that i want. now it's dearer than what i was looking at on friday, but it does everything!! eeek... how do you fall out of love with a pram????

    take care
    xxxx

Angel, you've got my sympathies, how all the achiny is gone! We've got a property inspection today, so we had a thorough clean yesterday. By 7pm I couldn't stand up, so was helping OH while sitting on the floor. I think I just got in the way!

I suppose I'm going to be really limited with prams - I'm learning to drive and I've got a ford KA. Don't think I can fit much in there! We've got 6 babies in the family so lots of prams, I shall go visiting and test them all out to see what I like. Annoyingly, I don't get any hand-me-downs :( SIL is having her baby a couple of months before me, and she gets everything!

  • Hello ladies - I have just got out of bed :D For someone who is normally battling with the M6 traffic by 7.30am at the very latest I am feeling very smug!

r.mac - moving into maternity clothes  I am growing out of some of mine:eek:

Seriously, I am huge! God only knows how big I am going to get in the next 18 weeks - I swear if I told people I was due tomorrow they wouldn't bat an eyelid. I seem to have had another growth spurt over the weekend and my ribs are incredibly sore this morning so I guess they are starting to move...JOY!

mooki - I bought books and have not really used them (I got the Miriam Stoppard and What to Expect when you are Expecting). Sign up to some of the baby websites (my personal fave is babycentre.co.uk) and they send you updates on a weekly basis. If you want tips or questions answering you won't get anywhere better than right here - the 'oldies' don't seem to mind answering all our first-timer questions!

blaque*angel - welcome aboard - you must be excited! Not long to go now!

  • Ooo - AF I like your choice. At first I thought it was a bit conventional looking (I am totally sucked in by a trendy looking 3 wheeler :o ) but if it acts as a moses basket too then that could save you some money - will baby sleep in there all the time to begin with?

Not sure how practical it would be as a high chair though

Can definitely agree with taking two bags, one for labour and one for afterwards... Can I recommend a book or personal music player for on the ward too, my sister ended up taking my book back home with her and I got really bored on the ward once DD was sleeping and I couldn't... Oh, and don't forget nappies!

I also took my own towels and a CD player into the labour ward... and my sister (birth partner) bought herself a bag with magazines and munchies in to stop her getting bored... I was trying to explain to DH the other night about how long it can take and how you're not really the best conversationist when you're breathing you way through contraptions...
A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I do pity my husband though, he's the one to suffer the hormones...
Krystal is so smart and funny and wonderful I am struck dumb in awe in her presence.

i am a bit of a conventional type of gal :D:D

i did like the three wheelers, but after my MIL told me of one tipping up on the escalators and when i was in Oz seeing the same thing happen in front of me in a shop, i personally dont feel comfortable with them. I am clumsy enough at the best of times, let alone with a baby and a three wheelers :p

i do like the idea of using it for bubs to sleep in, you can get a special mattress for that i think and the carry cot has a rocker on it if you are using it flush to the floor, but of couse not when you use the stand.

i'm not sure about the high chair part either, but you can pick them up cheap enough if i have to.

my folks both like it (sent them the link to the website) so i am having a battle with them over them paying for it (i think it's too much for them to buy us). my MIL who is well versed in prams is going into the shop to look at it today.

sorry to hear about the ribs. you are having a growth spurt bless you.
