  • ahh bless him so cute,
well had my appointment with doctor on fri morning and told her when my last period was etc and she put my due dte as 4th july, im sure she either misheard me or just ignored me as she wrote down the date a week later than what i give her for my last period and worked out i was only 3 weeks gone, by my calculations i should be due on the 27th june my last period was the 20th (roughly ) of sep, oh well will just have to wait to see what the scan tells me instead, so confused

Aww Candy, what a tough time for you and yours. Sorry to hear about all you've been through. I hope you are feeling okay. ((Hugs))

  • Can I ask, being a bit heavier, does it take longer for a bump to show? I'm trying to imagine what I'll look like with a bump, but with so much belly, I can't imagine it!

Course you can ask! I wouldn't have survived my MC and carrying DS1 if it wasn't for everyone on here!!

I'm 13 weeks today and I do have a firm bump but its just hidden under some maternal cushioning. So to other people I look like I've just got a bit chubbier but I think when I was about 5 months I seemed to explode last time and it was definately baby bump. Its great if you want to keep the pregnancy quiet for a bit as people just think you've had too many pies! (or MCD's)

However if people/MW etc tell me I weigh too much for my height I tell them they are wrong and I'm just too short for my weight! It usually confuses them enough to get off my case!:D

edited to say, I'm thinking of you and your family candy

  • cazscoob - what a fantastic idea :T who needs a travel cot! He looks gorgeous!

CG - glad DD is doing well and hope someone is taking care of you ((HUGS)).

sparkle thanks for the tip off about ASOS maternity...can't seem to find it on the website though, only reference to plans to launch one  I will keep checking though!

Hubby and I went into town today and everywhere we went people seemed to be staring at my bump...is this normal? People were proper oggling my belly which was just strange - I was wearing a tight fitting top under my coat (which was open because I can't find the right temp!) but you would think that there are enough pregnant women around for people not to be interested?

I have been feeling proper kicks (or punches ;) ) since Tuesday now and this morning I could feel it from the outside too - so got hubby to have a feel and sure enough bubba rewarded us with a series of kicks to his daddys hand :T

We went into mothercare and had a look at the Quinny Buzz (I have had my eye on this because it is compatible with the maxi cosi car seat)...but the seat seemed to wobble a bit which I wasn't too keen on. And the two of us couldn't take the seat off either  So now I am not sure...anyone else been looking at/got a quinny buzz and can offer any advice/reassurance?

  • I had use of a quinny buzz and I like the fact they're so compact, but if you want to do anything more adventurous than stoat around the supermarket I'd advise against it. They're really quite flimsy and shoogly, and for the price of them I think it's ridiculously poor quality.

I *think* the Phil & Teds can take a maxi cosi if you buy the converter, and you can also buy a doubles kit to turn the pram into a tandem if you have another baby soon after. They've got an excellent resale value and they're just brilliant. Go and check one out in your local Mothercare and see what you think :)
  • I absolutely love my buzz and will be using it again for number 3!!

cannot comment on the buzz but i have the zapp in my car and has done my 3 year old and also DS at 8 months. i have bought a phil and teds for new baby and LO and it seems to be great! had to take it for school run as hubby had buggy in the car:D

there are a few prams that take the maxi cosi car seats and i would advise having a go at them all. i wanted the icandy pear but after a test drive and trying to take it apart i would not have kept it for long

MFD lots of people just tell me how mad i am for no 5, but i know what you mean about the staring. it gets worse when everyone has to touch the bump you just want to scream pmsl:P thats me now 24 weeks and cannot believ where the time has gone?

thoughts and love to you candy xx
