Yes also panicking about weight - which is why I'm trying to get back out walking the hound... Already 13St BUT I am 175cms tall
And I already had a large bust which weighs a fair bit so I try not to worry TOO much *sigh* Oh who am I kidding!
I need to eat less junk (shame about the BigMac I just wolfed down...) and do more light exercise... hmmmm did anyone see that pig fly by???My eating is always brilliant when I'm pregnant because I get so nauseous around greasy food and chocolate but still I gain weight. I need to start going swimming
I'm in the opposite camp.. I'm only 8st and 5ft 7 so a size 6.
Would love to put a few stone on and keep it there! :rolleyes:0 -
I gained three stone after my fourth pregnancy loss in October 2005. It was only this year (end of July) that I realised I ate constantly because I felt 'empty' rather than hungry. (another reason was that if I was BIG DH wouldn't come near me so no chance of getting pregnant and risking losing another one:o). Once I'd acknowledged that I seemed to lose my compulsion to eat constantly. Of course that's also when I fell on with this one
(which kinda freaked me out wondering HTF I'd cope and what size I'd end up if I lost it). Overall I think the first 13 weeks my weight was stable for the first time in three years but in the past fortnight my clothes have definitely become tighter.
I'm tyring to swim once a week and walk at least daily but winter isn't my best time so it will be a real force to get me out of the house to go walking!

I am also panicking about weight as 2 years ago when I had DS2 I started off weighing 13 stone and ended weighing 16 stone!! However this time aound I have started off weighing 14 stone 5 lbs!!
In light of this I have been walking everywhere (at least an hour and a half each day) and watching what I eat. However at 16 weeks I have not yet weighed myself so not sure how I am doing. All I know is when I was 16 stone I found it very hard to do anything so dont really want to get any bigger than that.
Also to get the routine blood test results I just rang my doctors a few days after and they gave me the results over the phone.0 -
Well at least so far I haven't had any chocolate ooooo for well over a month! Nor much in the really bad snack region... I just haven't fancied it... we have chocolate and snacks galore in the house but I just haven't fancied it! Really odd... But woke up this morning and I could murder another McD's!!!!!
Normally I have maybe one a month if that - at the moment I have had 2 in the last week and I'd happily eat another, then top me up with pizza, chinese and tikka masala and I'd be a happy gal! WHAT IS THIS BABY DOING TO MEEEEEEEEEEEE?!?!?!?! :rotfl:
I know I lost weight when I went into hospital but when I got weighed at the MW checking in I was up at 13st... Which is pretty much where I started out I think before I fell pregnant so that's a month of rubbish food and bean growing to take me back to where I was before ending up in hospital - Lord only knows how much I lost when I went in!!!DFW Nerd #025DFW no more! I'm doing ok weight wise I think. In the past I've gained loads during pregnancy, almost 4st with my last. This time I gained a lot during the first14 weeks because of the constant snacking to keep MS at bay. I didn't weigh myself for ages because I just didn't want to know, I feel huge. But I did the other day and at 36 weeks I've gained 2st 4lbs which isn't too bad. Maybe the constant sleeping has been a good thing, it's stopped me from shovelling crap in my mouth all day:A

I'm not that worried about my weight. I'm incredibly overweight (BMI 45 ) but seem to be eating pretty healthily since I got pregnant. I tend to just eat what I fancy, which seems to be fruit and crackers most of the time. I've not gained any weight yet, but I'm sure that'll kick off soon! I'm keeping my fingers crossed that the breastfeeding will help.Stay-at-home, attached Mummy to a 23lb 10oz, 11 month old baby boy.0

I'm much heavier than you girls and I'm doing ok so don't panic. I was 17stone 2lbs once DS1 was born having only put on 1/2 stone during pregnancy. I then lost 2 stone after he was born but some of it crept back on!
I'm 13 weeks pregnant with bump no 2 (who we've nicknamed Jack) and I've lost 11lbs since getting pregnant again but I'm not worried as theres plenty of me and baby gets any nutrients first! I now weigh 15st 11lbs but don't tell anyone! I suppose with H cup boobs I've got to have a bit of bum to stop me falling over so theres got to be loads of weight there!!:heart2: Charlie born Aug 2007 :heart2: Reece born May 2009

Can I ask, being a bit heavier, does it take longer for a bump to show? I'm trying to imagine what I'll look like with a bump, but with so much belly, I can't imagine it!Stay-at-home, attached Mummy to a 23lb 10oz, 11 month old baby boy.0 -
hi girls, just checking in following my booking in apointment on thursday!
MW was absolutley lovely and spent about an hour with me and hubby explaining what will happen at all the different stages of the pregnancy. she took my bloods (4 vials for gods sake, leave some for baby!) and did my bmi and stuff. ive lost half a stone in the past 2 or 3 weeks so my BMI is just below the "underweight" level at the mo so not happy about that. hopefully once i can eat properly again that will go right back up! She also said my BP was low and that I would get dizzy if I stood up for a whle, which is so true, I thnk this is what makes me feel so rubbish most of the timeShe didnt seem overly concerned and placed me as low risk - hubby later said those are the two greatest words in the english language!
She did ask where i wanted to have the baby, the hospital we went to being just down the road but has no anaesthetist, but nice and quiet and midwife led, or the bigger unit in the nearest city which has everything on hand should we need it. for now i opted for the smaller hospital, but how am I supposed to know if i am going to want an epidural? ah well she said I could change it if i wanted.
She did offer a home birth as well which i said no to right away. on the way home hubby was marvelling at the possibility of a home birth where all the family could be downstairs and i could be upstairs having the baby - yeah right keep dreaming Rob!
The best news I got on thurs is that I got a date for my scan, the 3rd nov, which would make me only 11 weeks. It is fab because we are off work that day and its my birthday on the 4th and we dont have to wait another week to meet baby....but I'm not sure if we should tell people following a successful scan at 11 weeks or still wait till 12 weeks. it seems to me that if something could go wrong between 11 and 12 then it could happen between 12 and 13 to, so not sure what to do!
phew!
oh yeah and ive totally gone off maccy ds now, ive had too many! milkshake ok but thats my limit! indian takeaway for tea tonight, mmm onion bhajis!:o0 -
