sorry Sami with pages moving on I missed this post!
I can't remember what age your doggy is - but if she's getting on then it might be a sign... I know a friends dog had a couple of fits and when I rushed her to the vets it turned out ot be a minor stroke - with medication she was ok for another year at least - but she was a very elderly JRT... I can't for the life of me remember what breed your doggy is sorry! Blooming pregnancy brain!

She's a lurcher, we have her mummy to who is a beardy collie x greyhound but her dad was a heinz 57 lurcher she's not very old 9.5, still acts like she's 2! the last lurcher was had before her managed the grand old age of 19! the vet did blood tests after her 1st and couldn't find anything wrong but said might do x-ray/scan if she had more. she is my baby tho I was there when she was conceived, born etc. and I'm just not ready to lose something so precious to me :( I'm praying that My mum n dad can afford to get her meds (she lives with them) coz I know I can't - and thats if there is meds for it. plus her poor mum is very sensitive, so much so we are scared that she would die of a broken heart if Meg had to be put down

sorry for being off topic guys!
Feelie: have you had the blood tests? if they were clear then I doubt the scan would have anything to pick up x

I take it she's not insured? If your parents are on benefits (or you are) then you could contact the PDSA... Do take her to the vets tho and find out if there is anything they can do... don't worry about medication and paying for it until you know if it's treatable in the first place.... have the vets said how much the scans and investigation is likely to cost?

Antibiotics is a gd one, although people who know me would prob still expect me to drink even on antibiotics. I might try that one though.

Make sure it's something non-contagious tho ;) but just say doc made VERY clear that you weren't to have alcohol on this AB... so just to be sure you're following orders this time... :)

she's not insured  non of us are entitled to help as far as I kno, I'm the only one who's unemployed (on contribution based JSA) I supose I should try not to worry until we've been back to the vet but being hormonal doesn't help! I'll make sure I call mum when she's back from work to get her to call the vet

Blood test results came back as 1 in 25,000, so very low risk. I shall send him to work as normal. He isn't bothered about missing this scan, as we shall be booking the 4D one soon.

i did have hubby with me at the 20 week scan as i am the type of person that worries about everything and wanted him there for support, but as i said, that is just me.

i can understand the difficult in your OH taking half a day off but then having to make up that time when he already does 50+ hours a week.

As you say, you will have the 4d one together soon.
