That's a little unusual tinkerbell certainly... But I don't know anything about home appointments so maybe it's normal for them? I also got a mahoooosive amount of frankly carp... most of it I have gradually binned as it's worthless... The only usefull thing I think was the NHS large book... :)
Then again I didn't like my MW either and I'm getting very jealous of those who have lovely midwives!!! :)

Sami - No she didn't give me anything, as I said hopefully I will get these at my scan appointment (fingers crossed)

So glad DH didn't take the day off for the appointment he wouldn't have been happy :D
hmmm I'm coming to realise that I'm really lucky as have generally had great care for last and this preg! (MFD: I'm also thankful for that!)

Hopefully you'll get everything sorted at the scan, but I think its awful that they leave you feeling a bit clueless esp if its your first! at my booking app I got leaflets about local birth choices, breast feeding, all the diff screening tests available, healthy eating advice, a financial help folder (that is fab) forms to apply for healthy start vouchers and emma's diary - think that's everything! so you really feel like you know whats going on.

I personally only take hubby to scans and 28wks app as thats the only time i'll have blood taken and I'll faint! most other apps are just so uneventful that there's no point them taking time off work for.

and everyone gets to choose where they give birth ;) if you search for the "birth choices" website you'll be able to read up on which is the best place nr you or of course you can choose to have a homebirth

Good luck, sound like the neg ones were just too early.
I know we are always told in the media about all these people needing IVF n stuff makes it sound like its really hard to get preg but there are also plenty of people who fall first time and I'm one of those :D my first was unplanned and the result of one time taking the risk  and now my 2nd was conceived 10 days after stopping using contraception.

thanks sami b! your right about those first timers!! i never thought it could happen! although i still dont believe it! xxx

AF - I also hate milk by itself and can only stand a little on cereal (just enough to make it damp!), yet I love custard, milk puddings, porridge made with milk and really milky coffee. So I'll join you in being weird

do you think we qualify for a 'weird club'???? :D:D

when i went back home i was out to dinner with one of my nans and the subject of milk came up (becuse my cousin horridly asked for a cup of milk). she was mortified when i told her my baby wouldnt be getting milk in any form because i couldn't stand the stuff. she thought i was being serious :rotfl:

i am going to try very very hard not to put my weird food issues onto bubs.

i am praying breastmilk doesn't smell like cow's milk. another thing i am funny on is smells and i think this is one of the things with the milk is the smell. oh if i can't breastfeed, does formula milk smell like cow's milk????

i will be fine for my children to have yoghurt/cheese etc.

someone do something to wake me up. i have hit a brick wall, could close my eyes right here at my desk and go to sleep.
