was thinking abut asking her through to stay here(poor girl:D) and then at least she is kind of away from it all but could still go down during the day??? not sure if that would make it worse or help though.

At 16 if she's been used to having dad to herself for a while she may never come round to the idea of not being the ONLY centre of his universe... I thoroughly disliked my 2nd stepmother (actually never liked the first one either but I was much younger) and voted with my feet. I moved back from my dads to my mums. And only visited when I felt guilty enough - the feeling was thankfully mutual so she always tried to be out of the flat working etc if I was due to come round... and I'd stay in bed till she'd gone to work in the morning.

Kids are fickle things especially if they've had the parents to themselves for a while... Try to make her feel part of the family but be prepared that she may never like you, your mum or anyone else...

I Loooove Cheese, In fact everyday this week I have had, for lunch, a jacket spud with cheese, onion and beans on. Oh I do have cheese on jacket potatoes Ymmmm...i was going through a spell of chilli and cheese on jackets, but since having a dodgy tummy i have stayed away.

I wanted to do Slimming World but couldn't get my head around it and there were no classes in my area at convenient times. A colleage at work has the info, just try and pinch it from her.

As for cardis, i have about four knitted matinee coats and I am due mid March.

hello ladies

after doing two tests earlier in the month and them being negative, ive done two today which both have faint lines.. im one day late, period wise.

i was wondering if you could tell me if i sound pregnant... i know this sounds mad, but id convinced myself so much that im not preggers after my two tests, i dont believe the pos ones!! im terrified of going to the loo incase aunt flo is there..

anyway i have sore breasts and back ache. i never get back ache.... i have been sleeping very well the last couple of weeks, even slept through hubby waking up and going online a few hours.. i have a slight metallic taste although i think im imagining it. i had had a sore throat the last week. ive had a bit of an appetitie although i do when im due. tea makes my mouth water and makes that taste worse.. ALTHOUGH i have had faint period pains since yesterday, on and off, and not very often.. thats also making me feel im not

in all my adult life, everytime i think i may need a test doing there has always been the one line (i do the dip in urine types) where as today has been the only time ever i have seen two. and not on one test but two.. this is also month one of trying for a baby which makes it even more unbelivable!

put me out of my mysery girls, what do we think? now ive done 2 tests, im not doing another one until the morning..

No as soon as I found out I stopped taking metformin so I think everything should be OK.

It certainly sounds to me like you are pregnant:D Congratulations....

I had the metallic taste and couldn't bear tea which is what prompted me to test!! I am sure you will do a few more tests until you believe it - Most of us on here did quite a few!!!

Morning all

Hope everyones colds aren't too bad today.

AM - good luck for the scan, looking forward to seeing pictures when you are back.

I'm off to the dentist this morning, hopefully nothing drastic will be needed. Got my excemption all ready, and it'll be strange to not pay.

MrsTine - Nightmares - I have at least one horrific nightmare every night, and have done since I got pregnant. I usually have one nightmare a week normally (a legacy of the PTSD supposedly) but they are much more intense and a lot more frequent now. The burning bodies falling from the sky was the worst one!

Sounds like good news to me!! Congratulations!

It does make it harder to believe when you fall in your first month of trying.
This happened to us. We are 9 weeks today and fell our first month too.

It still hasn't sunk in!

I found 2nd moring pee better for tests...

Hmmmm my weirdest one was one where everyone had been cut really seriously - long slashes and I had no first aid equipment and there were too many for me to hold closed so had to get everyone to sit and position themselves to keep their own wounds closed and not move... it was very weird!
