searching it could be lots of things really - yes it could be something to worry about, but likewise it could be that you are worrying so much you're convincing yourself something is wrong which CAN cause pains (there is a posh word but I haven't the foggiest how to spell it... psycosymatic is as close as I can get). If you are very worried see if they will scan you tomorrow instead. Because of the history with an egtopic pregnancy then they might rush it even more as it's obviously serious as you probably know better than I :)

hiya ladies can i ask you a question... im 5 weeks nearly 6 pg after having an ectopic pg in may but im worried as most of today ive been getting twinches that have turned into an ache on the same side as the ectopic pg (they kept my tube btw) now im slightly worried i do have a 6 week scan on wednesday to make sure everything is right doesnt stop me worring now... what do you think x

I had cramping and pain around teh 5-6wk mark. I went straight to the Drs as was worried. He did a blood test, then I went back three days later for another - they were checking my HGC levels were going up and I wasn't having a miscarriage. Dr explained the pains were v common and not to worry.

However as you've had an ectopic pg before I would be tempted to call the EPU and ask for their advice as to what to do. I imagine they should get you in for a scan to check it's not ectopic. If they can't help/don't put your mind at rest then make an appt with your Dr first thing tomorrow am. Afterall that's what they are there for.

Good luck - and we ar elal here if you need to chat x

Searching - if it happens it happens - it's not anything you have done that will have caused it. Some times mother nature gets things wrong and that's just all there is too it. You might want to talk to your GP about some councelling though regardless of what happens as it sounds like regardless you will worry through this pregnancy...

Wow Heather thats some boy you have he is georgeous!! hoe he has settled in and is behaving himself:P

Labour vibes to all in need and hello to all newbies!! well i am up to my neck in packing and organising and am fuming at my sister as she has broken my travel cot and has only just decided to tell me. i need it for this week and dont have the money to go and get a new one. so looks like it will be OH, ME, Charlie and Bump in a tiny double bed for a week, just what i need on my holiday eh!

oh the plus side though i was at a car boot sale today and got Charlie a full next 9-12 month wardrobe of clothes for £25 will only have to buy vests:D and also got enough marble tiles to tile my new bathroom for £20 so all in all a good day, pity i had to come home to that news!
What's for you won't go past you

Caz, that's awful of her! Do you know anyone that you could borrow one off for a couple of days? Bed sharing is hardly ideal if you're growing a bump... I only have a small one but got surprisingly little sleep last night because we got an interloper... Thankfully it's a little less common than it used to be...
A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I do pity my husband though, he's the one to suffer the hormones...
Krystal is so smart and funny and wonderful I am struck dumb in awe in her presence.

Caz if she broke it surely she should replace it??
Working on the assumption that she won't - why don't you send out a plea on your local Freecycle and see if a kind soul will donate one :)

  • Searching - I hope your ok, but if you have pain tomorrow I would go to the EPU first thing. Hopefully it wont be ectopic, but if it is, then the earlier its picked up, the more likely your tube will be safe.

wish you all the luck in the world :)
