I am not well today :( I have a bit of a temperature and feel my throat is coming up, and I have also noticed I have some kind of eczema on my eyelid! I've never had eczema and don;t know what to do about it. It looks ugly :(

On a plus note, I had a call about a job this morning and they are putting my CV forward. It's contract until March which would be pretty much perfect really, although it's not massive money.

Anyone got any experience of eczema?

AF - I have started making myself buy just one thing when I go to the supermarket or boots or wherever...just a pot of sudocrem or some talc etc

People probably think I am a mad woman as I march down the baby isle muttering 'just one thing' over and over - anyone would think I am trying to stop myself buying rather than make myself buy :D

    mmmmmm.......you are :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

with my boots vouchers that i got from the parent club, i did buy the 3 for £3wipes; and the Johnson and Johnson baby lotion (pink bottle - although i know some have said they don't use it on baby... maybe i should use it myself) and i have bought some nappy bags (wilkos ones - 72p for 300)

oh, see this MAKES me want to buy nappies, but it's whether i actually can.

wish boots and free delivery (not for over a certain amount)

what voucher in the bounty pack are you ladies talking about? i must go through my pack again and see what i haven't taken out (voucher wise)

    xxx

Angel, the voucher was in the pregnancy booklet in the bounty pack I was given at my booking in appointment.

(I'm embarrassed to say, I've left all the booklets in the bathroom so I can have a read of them when I'm constipated! :o :rotfl: )

skinty, I have eczema, I find vaseline the best thing at the mo coz I'm not allowed to use my steroid cream :( Doc said to come back in a week if it doesn't go which I know it won't but at least the vaseline stops it feeling itchy!

Well hubby is frankly desperately ill he has to be coz dun dun deerrrr he's not gone to work today _pale_ ooh sorry just had to pick myself up off the floor! Doc's have given him penicilin and he's still in bed - this worries me because Christopher and I seem to be coming down with it too  I couldn't cope if both of us get that bad! (plus I'm not allowed penicilin and don't like the thought of antibiotics when pg)

In other news its snowed here!! pics to prove http://i272.photobucket.com/albums/jj188/kool4kiwi/DSCN0690.jpg feel free to have a nose at my other pics :)

must have another look through then as i got quite a few booklets in the back. i was taking one into the bathroom each night with me to read in the bath.
  • Hope that you get better soon skintchick...and good luck with the job. My DH gets eczema, but on the side of his foot...and I doubt that the cream that he uses when it gets really bad would be suitable for eyes. Maybe you could check with a pharmacist or the doctor if there is anything you can use for it, and that it's not some other sort of inflamation?

  • Skinty - excema on your eyes needs to be looked at by the doc really. You can't use most of the normal creams (hydrocautizone, E45 etc) on eyes.

Is anyone else finding that pic of a burger when you are in the 'reply to thread' screen is making them hungry???

I see the MW tomorrow so will ask when I'm there. It's crusty and painful if I try to scratch it off - which I did when I thought it was sleep! It's not inflammation, it's like white crusty stuff. I guess it's stress?

Skinty its very common for skin to be more sensitive and/or dry while preg so could just be that
