Oh forgot to say, I had a dream last night I had the baby!

I was on my own, didn't feel a thing, it just slithered out (oh I wish lol!) then my waters broke afterwards (?), it was a boy and he had red curly hair, the kind of bright red/burgandy like hair dye! :rotfl: :rotfl:

I bought some nappies last week :o

Well I couldn't leave them as they were such a bargain! The Huggies newborn starter pack which has a pack of newborn nappies (27), a pack of huggies baby wipes and a pair of Disney socks, were £5 BOGOF in boots, so I got 2 packs.

Aww, sorry you're not feeling crappy, don't think I've had one whole day yet where I've felt 100%, I miss drugs! (Not illegal ones, just one's I'd normally take if I felt ill lol!)

Yeah we're gonna find out the sex, the scan's on the same day as Steves bday (23rd Dec) and the day after mine, so if they can tell us, it'll be an extra little gift to us both :D . It's at 9am so as soon as we're done (and hopefully everything will be fine) we're gonna hit the shops and go look at prams and cots etc..

Hope yours goes well for you hun, wrap up warm though! xx

Do you want me to send you one of the 10 packs I received today?! :D

Or are you planning on snaffling a months worth of freebies from the maternity ward?! :rotfl:

    xx

They don't have these in our hospital - you are expected to take a pack in yourself - they don't even put one on when babe is born - they ask your birthing partner to get the nappy & clothes from your bag.
Have never seen any freebie nappies. They give you a pad for you when you deliver - but then not after that. They also don't have anything for washing baby (not that I use anything for months - babies skin doesn't tend to need it - I still had the freebies frmo Bounty when my youngest was a year old!) They do, however, seem to give out formula bottles to mums who don't breastfeed - although I did read recently that they are looking at charging for this in the future.

  • AF - I have started making myself buy just one thing when I go to the supermarket or boots or wherever...just a pot of sudocrem or some talc etc

People probably think I am a mad woman as I march down the baby isle muttering 'just one thing' over and over - anyone would think I am trying to stop myself buying rather than make myself buy :D

  • Well, I've just spent over an hour reading through all the posts for the last few days...must get washed and dressed now :rotfl:. I'm exhausted after the weekend as we had family visiting and took them to a couple of the Christmas markets over here..I don't know where all my energy has gone but even cleaning the flat seems like too much sometimes! Still, I really should do the washing now before I start feeling sick again...my "morning sickness" seems to get worse as the day goes on...and makes going to sleep at night take a lot longer :o.

I hope that everyone else is okay today...I have my next doctor's appointment tomorrow and I'm trying not to worry too much...my 12 week scan is next Tuesday, so fingers crossed for that!
