I hate my husband now... he's just had curry super noodles as a snack... and didn't make me any! And I can't face going to the kitchen to make some so now I'm going to bed salivating for supernoodles which is just SO unfair!DFW Nerd #025DFW no more! It's almost impossible for it to be too hot for me, so baby will have to get used to it! And yes, in deserts etc they will be hot so I'm sure they can cope. DFW Nerd Club member 023...DFD 9.2.2007 :heartpuls married 21 6 08 :A Angel babies' birth dates 3.10.08 * 4.3.11 * 11.11.11 * 17.3.12 * 2.7.12 :heart2: My live baby's birth date 22 7 09 :heart2: I'm due another baby at the end of July 2014! :j

Oddly that's what I thought! It's just everything we read and see when looking at baby stuff has baby room thermometers with "TOO HOT" on anything over something like 19c? I appreciate you shouldn't outright boil the child but surely they can cope with temperatures over that?? Like you say - not like the temperature in Sahara, various jungles or say Mexico, ever drop below 25 and their babies seem to cope somehow
why is it odd things that make us the most worried?
Just what are these hot summers you are all talking about?!?

I worry about christopher's love of chips (he's only allowed them once a week and no more than 5 is a portion in my rules) often but then I see other parents giving their much younger babies a packet of crisps and think well I wouldn't do that in a million years so I can't be that bad a mother and he eats soo much fruit I reckon that must cancel the chip badness anywho
Ps. I'm sure I nicked foof of someone on here, in our house its called a lulu or a twinkle and when I was little my mum told me it was a tuppence - where do we get these things from0 -

That reminds me we have a clock similar to this http://www.oregonscientific.co.uk/prod_rmr329_projection_clock_with_indoor_outdoor_temperature.htm
but instead of putting the outdoor bit outside we put in in chris's room the temp of his room is projected on to the ceiling in our room along with the time. I've found it soo handy also for timing when we did controlled crying as didn't need to sit up with a light on clock watching0 -
thanks ladies!!! well as you said she came in all happy telling us all about it and pulled out my secret stash of sweets from her bag saying she accidently picked them up! think she was trying to teach me a lesson stealing my crunchies pmsl !!!! she didnt seem any the worse and i just thought id leave it tonight and got them into bed!
thats another wall done with tiles and grouting! will post pics once we get the room finished! cant wait it will look great! sadly this isnt our house yet and are sitting tight with fingers crossed! this village is the hardest to get into and the house prices are ridiculous! we managed to rent this the now on the understanding that we would do the work it was needing and we would get free rent or money off(have it written in contract and agreement made up each month) we have been given a 2 year lease and hopfully if all goes to plan we will get first offer to buy it. it is a fantastic looking house just wish it was all mine:DWhat's for you won't go past you0 -
Don't rely on free nappies in hospital ladies, we had to provide our own even to the point where as they were wheeling me in to emergency surgery they were sending my OH to get one of our nappies!

morning ladies,
nappies, nappies, nappies!!!!!! must just be me that freaks out at the thought of buying nappies. don't get me wrong, i love looking at them and working out what ones i will want to buy (tesco purple range/boots/pampers/huggies), what money off coupons i have, but i just can't buy them yet.
doesn't help that hubby is like "why are you looking at them? we don't need them yet".
this cold is sticking and i have an upset tummy (that may be stress as I have a few things worrying me at the moment) but hopefully both will settle down today.
take care all.

morning
AF - I know what you mean about nappies and things making it all seem rather real  Now I know why we're pg for almost 10months - so we can get used to the idea!
wrap up warm and I hope that your cold gets better.
My mum is coming through to visit today and we are going christmas shopping. It should be funBut it has meant that I had to an SB and be up, clean, dressed and tidy early this morning and on that note I had better finish the hoovering as she's due in 1/2 hour
r.mac, you are so wise and wonderful, that post was lovely and so insightful!0 -
I bought some nappies last week
Well I couldn't leave them as they were such a bargain! The Huggies newborn starter pack which has a pack of newborn nappies (27), a pack of huggies baby wipes and a pair of Disney socks, were £5 BOGOF in boots, so I got 2 packs.
