The midwife is a health professional and she should have a wide range of advice for a healthy lifestyle, not just about the baby nowadays!!! bit old fashioned!

My dentist is a health professional too - I will ask him about the baby when I am there on Thursday ;):D healthy lifestyle is one thing but sore eyes

Which reminds me - what do I need to take to the dentist to get free dental care?

I've got an appointment on Friday, and she just told me to bring me 'card'. The only card I've got is the prescription exemption one, but I suppose that is official enough proof that I'm pregnant isn't it?

Your little free prescription card :) or MATB1 if you can't find it

MFD - have you got the NHS card? i know its says prescription exemption on there but it does have 'maternity' as the reason. maybe they accept that?

sorry, dont really have a clue but thought i'd offer a suggestion. i haven't been to a dentist in the UK since i moved here, but have gone to see them when i hoilday back home.

i feel guilty now signing up to a dentist. woudl love a check up and a clean, but dont want them to think i am only doing so because i'm pregnant and it's free.
  • I have a card (where is the furrowed brow smilie) which says my name, DOB, blood group and when it was issued but it doesn't say free prescriptions

I do have my MAT B1 though...

I want free scripts too :j

is the bounty pack usually given at booking in appt? is it the pack in a carrier bag?

    Skint:
the best treatment for eczema is moisturisation, with something good like aqueos cream. My eczema has flared up, but best to see the Dr to get it checked.

Anymore lunch suggestions for icky icky - only had 1 suggestion thanks anyway.

I got emma's diary at booking in which is redeemed at llyods and is green
and got bounty in a folder type thing, thats redeemed at boots/asda (get it from asda as you get extras from there ;))

as for lunch just depends on what you can/can't keep down. I'm a fan of tesco/M&S sarnies and carrots with hummus or soup n a roll. and me n AF like peanut butter (yum) but some can't/won't have when preg. and AF is a fan of Jacket pot with chilli n cheese. Tine sounds like she doesn't get to eat/digest (all together.. aarrrrhhh ;))
Can't remember anyone else's suggestions from the past

nappies mean baby and baby means me being a mum and looking after a baby....hmmmmm must accept this SOON :D

If it helps AF Celia is almost ten weeks old and I haven't yet accepted that I'm a mummy and that no one is going to ask for the baby back! Pregnancy (complete with active tummy); labour; birth; and the small demanding person constantly attached to one of my lady bumps, all seem completely unconnected with each other!

My advice, look for some good nappy deals (try https://www.goodluckmum.com for one) and embrace freebies and moneysaving, that fact that it's nappies is entirely incidental!

Thanks Fritha, that's reassuring. I just struggle thinking that i will get to the 'end' so to speak. it's with everything in life, not just my pregnancy. it's like, never thought i woudl finish high school/go to uni/get my first job/get married etc.

    yes, i'm a nutter i know :D , but that's me:eek:
  • Oooh - Fritha - I have been waiting for you to pop your head in!!

I was wondering whether Celia is still as territorial (is that the right word) as she was before she was born. She used to hate things on top of her (if I remember rightly!) - is she still like this now?

    How are you both doing?

    MFD xx
