You're me! Essentially you have no say in the matter: baby will grow, baby will be born, baby will be cared for! You just sort of have to be along for the ride and well, accept your new place in life! As long as someone has purchased nappies et al and put them in the house it'll all be fine, you don't actually really need to accept the whole baby thing at all imo!

thanks Fritha that is really nice to know.

i am sure i'll be fine when the time comes, it just having the 40 weeks to think about it that doesnt do me any good.

glad you are settling well to motherhood.

Afternoon folks... I have a confession to make... I've been out of bed about an hour!
In my defense, DD woke me at some time after 5 and I couldn't get back to sleep, ended up downstairs getting her breakfast at 6:30 and by the time she got picked up at 8:50 I could barely keep my eyes open... Went back to bed for an hour and just couldn't wake up! I still have a splitting headache that 2 poxy paracetamol don't seem to be touching but I don't feel so tired anymore...

nicole, I found crisps were about the only thing that didn't make me feel icky...

Caz, I've got a new girly name thats working its way up my list - Ivy, hubby is yet to be enthused but I'm loving it at the mo, I'm also liking Truth as I saw a lovely little girl on "this morning" called it the other week and also Rosalie but hubby hates that!

Hubby update: he's been on the sofa for about 2hrs now and has managed about 5 bites of a sandwich ;)

  • Krystal - I am SOOO jealous!! I would do anything for a day in bed at the moment.

As for the name - whatever would I do if I told you guys and you didn't like it? I would be mortified. So I am keeping it all to myself :D smug in the knowledge that I am sure to change my mind at least 4 times in the next 3 months!

MFD I can understand that, I changed my mind about DD's name about a million times and the name she ended up with is one that was on my sisters list in the end (We were pregnant at the same time but she had a boy)

We have decided on a girls name but both think it should be spelt differently... I love a boys name but OH won't hear of it because it's apparently the name of a couple of p0rn films.... And we kind of decided we both like a name but OH is wavering on it now.... Its such a minefield... They're stuck with it for the rest of their lives after all!
