oh how annoying. i hate going to the doctors/midwife/hosptial and would be sooooo annoyed if i had an appointment, made the effort to get there and then the professional didn't show.

doesn't help that your hubby would have had to take time off work also.

oh how cute...a 7 week old bubs.... i go all gooey when i see babies/toddlers on the telly

i talk about all of us on here to, but depending on how it is that i am talking to i am refer to names, or just say 'oh i read today' so i dont' get strange looks :rotfl:
I like the "I read.." line must use that! I now know how ill hubby is as he didn't even have the strength to be angry with them and he's a bit of a hot head:rolleyes: he's missed nearly 2hrs of work for nothing, only saving grace is if he does get a script for something there's a pharmacy attached to surgery so he can get the medicine straight away(but will have to pay the £7.10 boo)

LOL - I read that birth story too - that was quick!

I was induced with DS, but it was just normal contractions for a few hours, then all of a sudden water broke and 10 minutes later out popped DS. I told DH I wanted to be at the hospital EARLY in labour with next one - I don't want to get caught having a baby at home! Yikes!
Me too! i only had 7hrs from 1st sign (waters) to birth and I didn't feel like I needed to go to hosp until about 3hrs before he arrived!
Well I'm off to asda now gonna get my 1st bounty pack while i'm there :D

I had to pay in march for a tube of cream (the aforementioned eczema cream!) it was a 30ml tube I nearly feinted when she said how much it cost! I'd never paid before as went from being in education to not needing anything to pregnant etc!

I forgot to say before My hubby is like yours the last time he sought medical help was when he lost the feeling in both his arms  and was in hosp for nearly a week in glasgow!! I told him to tell work he was too ill to go as he had had proper flu (aching muscles high temp etc) but did he listen? nooo! so that was fun ended up driving to glasgow and back twice in 5 days:rolleyes:

Ok I really am going to asda now. byeee

Skinty - I wrote down your name but nothing next to it  baby brain!! Hope you are well :A

Probably cos I haven;t really posted anything for a few days :) I'm OK. Still not more symptoms than sore boobs (VERY sore boobs!) and tiredness but that's OK, nothing is wrong, I am staying calm.

I got rejected for another job  still no interviews as yet. My church wants someone to run their cafe so I'm going for that but it may involve lifting in which case I can;t do it  It's my only chance of a job to be honest so otherwise I'll have to be a housewife.
I see the midwife on Wednesday and my scan is a week today! :j

I'm staying fairly quiet cos I don;t have a lot to say - no symptoms as such, no movement, nothing happening, so I just read and thank! :rotfl:

Skinty if you can afford to be a house wife then good on you - if not then there is ALWAYS work of some sort to be had out there :) My mum was a webmaster and advertising something or other in Denmarks largest supermarket chain store for years - when she had a breakdown she quit and after a couple of years wanted to go back to working... she registered with the equivalent of the Job Centre and ended up washing stairs in an appartment complex - bit of a drop from what she used to do but it was what they had so that's what she did - then she was a receptionist and she'd gradually worked her way back up to roughly the level she used to be at.
You could start your own business and maybe do ironing from home or something - round here there is a mad shortage of cleaners for example - home cleaners so nothing you wouldn't already be doing at home :)

    Hi Skinty,

Sorry to hear you didn't get the job. The Church Cafe one sounds good, but like you say may involve lifting. Perhaps there may be another member of staff there to assist?

fortunately I can afford to be a housewife, and the redundancy I get will take us through to the end of Jan on our current budget, and the MA will kick in at the beginning of May I think, so that's only three months on JSA alone which isn;t so bad.
I get so tired at the moment I don;t want to get a job where I'm running around cleaning etc., as even an hour or so of that at home exhausts me right now.
I'm really hanging out for the part time job which would pay me £770 a month for two days a week! I really hope I get it as that would be fantastic. Got to get an interview first though.

    Lucky you Skinty :)

I just can't face the drop from £2100pcm to £117 a week... that's a drop of over £1630 a month... NOT gonna happen unless DH lands this job he's going for... then MAYBE we could afford for me to stay at home - the only way I could afford to stay at home is if I got made redundant! I have income protection plans etc that will cover everything lol
    Well I can hope... ;)
