Mrs Tine - It is lovely when you first feel baby moving, It is just frustrating because at first it seems to happen so rarely and you just want to feel it more and more....Lovely new car btw!!

We got rid of our car and won't be getting another for four years, as that's how long dh degree course is. By then we may have to get a people carrier as I still want to have a 4th baby after this one hehe.

Sami - we used an independent baby shop for our pushchair this time round, although I ended up just buying it outright and walking out the shop with it there and then. I know the lady who's shop it is and she had spent over an hour showing us how all different prams worked. My sisters friend did the pay in instalments and they delivered it yesterday for her (she is due in 4 weeks)

After talking to my friend, who had a baby two weeks ago. I am wondering if I am doing the right thing thinking of a home-birth, as she got pre-eclampsia during labour and after 2 days in labour, she wa on the verge of a c-section when her baby girl arrived but went on to have a massive bleed within minutes of delivering. I know that if pre-eclampsia was diagnosed I would be sent straight into hospital, but I always do end up very anaemic after giving birth as I tend to lose a fair amount of blood, I am now wondering if I should go into hospital.
My midwifery team are very pro-homebirth and when I mentioned about being anaemic afterwards they just seemed to brush it off saying it is normal, and I am still low risk.

Hmmm I need to have a think about it really.

    Mel x

Mel, I did have a homebirth and I did have a large bleed right afterwards, but they just called an ambulance and took me in. All they did was give me a bag of fluid, it really didn't feel like it was a big deal to be honest. The ambulance was with us within a couple of minutes and I was at the hospital within 20 mins, it took a little time for the paramedics to take a look at things and put the drip in.

My parking skills are an on-going joke. I'll have to get a silver car next time so the scrapes don't show up as easily. What's worst, I park under our bay window and the house now has blue (car) paint on it and my car has white (house) paint on it! Oops! :(
Hehe our wheelie bin goes in between the house and my car and has a permanently kink in it where I bounce off it all the time. Hubby can't say anything as he regulary does the same with his van and the drain pipe!

hahaha look at you lot with your sensible cars am i the only one with a stupid car lol!!!! well we have 2 one for us all and a fun car for me and OH we are like kids fightiing over who drives:D we have a classic V-Limited subaru impreza which is stupid fast but lots of fun:D and also have a 2ltr Mazda which is a geat car!

As for HB, my midwives said they will start me on iron or to boost my iron levels from 34 weeks and that will help, if there are any problems during they have a 999 callout and are made priority and it is done from the beginning of the problem rather than last min. If you are unsure i would talk it through with you MW and make your decision from there, you have to want it 100% and not be unsure at all!

ok am stil in my PJs having a bit of a lazy day! have nice roast beef to go in the oven and am debating wether or not to put the tree up today:D what do you think?? we have 2 living rooms in this new house and was thinking about putting fake tree in small one and getting real one for big room. i have never had a real tree and am all excited pmsl:P oh and all that talk about baby feel good endorphines doesnt half make mummy feel better too ahem.........

Fast cars scare me! (pretty to look at tho!) :D I occasionally drive the work's Golf 2.0 TDI thingy - it's nice but I'm only brave enough to go to town and back. They offered me it for a course in Coventry (3hrs away) and I turned it down, expecting to end up in a sticky mess on the M1 :(

Lots of people have their trees up already round here. They might have already been up for a while as I didn't believe they could put up ALLLL those lights in one day! We've got to wait until I remove all the ironing from the corner of the room the tree goes in! (appoximately Dec 23rd.. )

Caz if you get a real tree (the only option IMHO ;)) its way too early as it will be all brown and even "non dropping" ones will drop after a few weeks. I'd say 2weeks before the 25th is the earliest to get one, if you put it in a stand that will hold water make sure you keep it watered and put either a bit of sugar/fullfat coke/ plant food in there too and don't put it too close to a radiator :D

  • We have a matiz, which is TEEENY, but we still managed to find a buggy to fit in the boot - it's a buggy that folds down flat, rather than a proper pram, so it doesn't look as cosy for when baby is really tiny, but seeing as I'm due in just over a month, it's going to be too cold to go out much to start with anyway. I'm planning on going out with the sling, and nicking one of DH's coats to fit round both of us - much warmer that way :)

35 weeks tomorrow - DH has discovered he can play games with bump already - if he taps his fingers on my tummy then the baby rolls round to follow him! Hours of free entertainment - very MSE ;)

I was wondering about taking my test - is it safe to do an emergency stop while pregnant?

That said, I don't know how much longer I'm going to be able to fit in my car :(
