Same here!! My daughter is pregnant and I thought I would try it for her. She has green eyes and myself and her father both have blue eyes - test won't accept this, says it is an error and not possible!!

    Whats all that about??

something your not telling us? ;) its probably because your eyes aren't just one colour its more complected than its made out on there I had to put my sis's eys as blue when hey are more blue & grey and hubby's are half brown half green

on a basic level 2 blue eyed parents "must" produce a child with blue eyes

We have a couple of independent shops nearby so will go with mum at Easter time. The one she used when I was born is still on the go, I think!

OH has a Focus Estate so no worries there, but unfortunately getting rid of one car isn't an option for us (would love to, they cost so damn much - mine was bought with a loan (n'wide in my sig) and his on nasty nasty HP) as although we work at the same place we work different times and they can't be changed. ETA: No public transport there either and I'm likely to be going back (unfortunately!). If I worked in the town centre, it'd be different.

ooh Tine that looks swish on the pics!! if you just glance you'd think it was a merc ;)
PS Elle I did cope with the 3doors until Chris was in forward facing seat (about 10 mths) so although it was a struggle it wasn't a nightmare, helps that your slim too, I have a more "shapely" friend who had much more trouble as she couldn't fit in behind the front seat as easily

ETA: elle you may just have to swap with hubby coz that would make your time much easier ;)
Part of the reason I made do with the Micra was because it was on a similar loan to yours, I managed to pay it off with redundancy payment and a bit of help from OH. and we only managed the 2 for 1 coz hubby got his promotion that included a works van

I was thinking maybe getting a car seat which clicks into a base might be easier.. (dunno if the SX one does)

Lol Sami_Bee - I have nothing to declare!!

The strange thing is, my first son has blue eyes and I always said I wanted a little girl with green eyes. She had blue eyes when she was born and until she was a toddler. One day when she was about 2, I noticed that her eyes had turned green!! They are not bluey green either, they are proper unmistakably green!! I don't know how that happened, didn't think it could happen!! She and her eyes are perfectly healthy and she has no problems with them - I put it down to my wishful thinking!! My next child, a boy has blue eyes (exactly like his elder brother) and he is almost 13 now so I don't think his will be changing now!!

Looking back now, I should have wished for a green eyed girl with a million pounds - missed opportunity!!;)

Seriously though, I had always heard that 2 blue eyed parents could not produce a child with anything other than blue eyes. Obviously wrong, as we managed it!!

    Best wishes

    Carol

SX don't make a base, there is a similar pram system from mamas n papas
that does have the base thingy or Maxi cosi (who are ment to be the best along side britax) do an easyfix base for theirs and britax do one if you've got isofix

Ps. I'm off to bed now, night x

Oh, I'm all confused.. lots of I's and X's! :o I think I'll put that idea on hold for now and think about it all after my birthday in Feb. I'm sure I'll be much more capable of getting my head round it once I'm 25.. ;) (panic! )

Mrs Tine - It is lovely when you first feel baby moving, It is just frustrating because at first it seems to happen so rarely and you just want to feel it more and more....Lovely new car btw!!

We got rid of our car and won't be getting another for four years, as that's how long dh degree course is. By then we may have to get a people carrier as I still want to have a 4th baby after this one hehe.

Sami - we used an independent baby shop for our pushchair this time round, although I ended up just buying it outright and walking out the shop with it there and then. I know the lady who's shop it is and she had spent over an hour showing us how all different prams worked. My sisters friend did the pay in instalments and they delivered it yesterday for her (she is due in 4 weeks)

After talking to my friend, who had a baby two weeks ago. I am wondering if I am doing the right thing thinking of a home-birth, as she got pre-eclampsia during labour and after 2 days in labour, she wa on the verge of a c-section when her baby girl arrived but went on to have a massive bleed within minutes of delivering. I know that if pre-eclampsia was diagnosed I would be sent straight into hospital, but I always do end up very anaemic after giving birth as I tend to lose a fair amount of blood, I am now wondering if I should go into hospital.
My midwifery team are very pro-homebirth and when I mentioned about being anaemic afterwards they just seemed to brush it off saying it is normal, and I am still low risk.

Hmmm I need to have a think about it really.

    Mel x
